Well, naturally with Dave Meniketti at the healm, this project bears a striking resemblance to Y&T....BUT the majority of these songs are much more blues-based than Y&T's music. This is an excellent CD IMO, with tracks 1-4,6,10,& 12 being stand-outs!I love "Messing With Mr. Big", "Tough Luck Avenue","Storm"(all rockers)& "Hard As I Try" is an outstanding ballad! I'd recommend this to anyone who likes Y&T,any aspiring guitarists(Dave's playing always RULES!),or fans of bluesy hard rock....GREAT stu

I prefer the Y&T releases above the solo-releases from Dave Meniketti. He's a fine guitarist, but the stuff offered here is way too bluesy for my (hardrock/pomp/AOR)ears ! But for lovers of bluesy hardrock, a good one.

I love his first release, but this was a major dissapointment.

This is better than his first solo release, but still not great ! Only Y&T rules !

I find that very interesting Great Dane, as I'd say the majority of folks who frequent Heavy Harmonies would favor this release over Dave's solo effort "On the Blue Side" simply due to the fact that that disc is pure rythm & blues, with Dave doing covers ,instrumentals, and original blues based compositions; it's more of an "acquired taste" so to speak, but hey, it's very cool that you enjoy that one! I love 'em both....Meniketti's the man!

Hey Whip72 Im a big Y&T fan and its not that I dont like the second cd, but it just doesnt catch me at all. I have a bootleg by Meniketti. Its superb. A mix of Blues, and old Y&T tracks. Cool stuff.

Guys !! I understand where you are coming from. When hard rock guitarists become older they lean more towards the blues. Take Gary Moore for example. When I first heard this album I liked tracks 1-6 immediately. I enjoyed tracks 7-11 more after listening to the CD again. Like me, I understand you prefer the Y&T rock sound, but listen to this CD a few more times and you would acquire the taste for it. If you play guitar at any level you would like what Dave has created. Rocktron from England.

Dave is the most underrated guitarist of all time. He (and Y&T) should have been bigger.

Dave Meniketti has always been a fave around these parts, and after listening to this i'm not about to change my mind. A quality release of bluesier hard rock with some melodic rock elements. Much better than the last 2 Y&T albums 'Endangered Species'& 'Musically Incorrect' which i found pretty substandard if truth be known. 'Hard as I Try' is a quality blues based ballad, and 'I Remember' is a great melodic track. The killer on this for me though is 'Tell Me (why i should wait)',Killer ballad.
