123charpenay and andi, are you guys roadies for the band so you got a advanced copy, or your giving half assed mini reviews based on a few sample tracks? Save the hype for your FB page, as this album isn't even out till 6/9/15 as the album has not leaked early. |

hi metallian.i love your humour.no i m not a roadie of h l,i live in france and have a regular job.yes you re right my mini review come from the sample tracks and the videos on you tube and melodic rock.of course i m not a god but i ve a long expetrience in melodic rock.i listen this fabulous music since 1973 (i was 13).my first fav bands was slade, the sweet and of course deep purple.sometimes i need to hear many spins for having an idea about a record.here for the new h l no.this record sounds excatly like "precious metal".not my cup of tea. nevertheless of course i stay a big fan of house of lords.maybe andi is a house of lords s roadie.............................. |

Granted doesn't happen often, but fer this fan with Precious Metal House Of Lords very nearly crashed and burned. Sure House Of Lords always relied heavily on keys and pomp, but they always compensated with great guitars riffs and enormous songs. Although opening track Battle was a brief magic in their bottle, perhaps one of the finest HOL highlights since their return. Low expectations but going into Indestructible thankfully sees the band back in fine form! Go To Hell not quite a Battle, but cranks well enough yet the title track probably woulda served a better outing, the hard hitting very singalong Indestructible is yet another highlight fer modern HOL suggesting Jimmi Bell's commitment to the record. Usual HOL lyrical naff still occurs but much to like here regardless, 100Mph, Call My Bluff, Die To Tell, Stand & Deliver, Call My Bluff perfect modern HOL with plenty throwbacks to their yesteryear. Huge production cool cover art (band pics sadly photoshopped to heck again) Rating 8 |

This was a grower for me! This is my favorite band for the last 10 years(since the comeback of "World Upside Down" love JC's voice)and have not been disappointed with any of the albums. This did not hit me out of the gate, but has definitely grow big time.I would still like to hear a few more commercial/catchy songs, but am liking this just the same after a couple of weeks with it.Favorite songs are, Call My Bluff, Indestructible, Go To Hell, Another Dawn, Stand And Deliver, Die To Tell, and Ain't Suicidal. Not as good as past albums but very enjoyable anyway, I recommend (especially) for fans of the band! |

One thing for sure is that HoL has been cranking out some really good albums here lately. This release is just one great track after another... and really decided to embark on the notion that heavier and harder HoL is definitely thier mind-set. Harmonies, huge vocals, guitar riffs and banging drums keeps this release from being boring nor simple. I think they have found their right formula here in the last several releases, its paying off...just hope it doesn't become to predictable in their next release slated in March 2017. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #1,3,4,7,8,11 & 12(bonus track). MY RATING: 91/100. |
