Another good album with a poor production. The songs are great and Gary still cuts it. After this and One Night At Budokan MSG lost their way. They were always a great live band though.

Para mi lo mejor que hizo Michael en estudio. Ademās en este disco estān los gloriosos ON AND ON , LOOKING FOR LOVE, NEVER TRUST A STRANGER, BUT I WANT MORE, READY TO ROCK, todos clāsicos en su carrera.

Good stuff! Listen to the lead guitar at the end of "Looking for love". Simply amazing -the man has feeling. Most songs are great although the album suffers a bit productionwise. Still, you should own this album!

Easily the best MSG abum with Gary Barden(well studio album anyway. ONE NIGHT AT BUDOKAN is awesome!). That's Stephen Stills doing background vocals on "Never Trust A Stranger", one of the many highlights of the disc. My favorite track here is "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie". Brilliant stuff that still holds up 20+ years later.

Ditto, a true classic! I have to give it a 9, it was so very good. 'Are you Ready to Rock' was an anthem that pulled me INTO metal in teh first place, along with 'Living after Midnight'!! Kudos to MSG

Agree with above EXCEPT for "never trust a stranger" Thank GOD ALMIGHTY for cd burners; i just leave that piece of _ _ _ _ off. I still have the original vinyl version I bought in 1982! One of the GREATEST guitarists of all times (along with Iommi, Page, Hendrix, Kossoff, and Tommy Bolin)! Kulvertmannen you hit the nail on the head with your observation of the "Looking For Love" solos! I thought only felt that way!!! All 4 of the original MSG's rule (Built to Destroy Euro version kicks).

Of all the MSG releases this is definately my favourite studio release. I liked the debut alot but, this has the better material with a slightly more commercial slant on the songs & more Keys in the mix aswell. Not to bothered about 'Are You Ready To Rock' that much, but the rest still stands up well. 'On & On' is a brilliant song with it's haunting Keyboard intro & is the clear winner on here, although 'Let Sleeping Dogs Lie' 'But I Want More' & 'Looking For Love' also stand proud. Excellent!!!

Lennie - All the MSG catologue was re-issued in Japan in 2000, remastered with bonus tracks (no bonuses on this one though). Got mine along with the debut & 'Built To Destroy' from CDJapan. There are copies on Amazon aswell. Shouldn't be a problem tracking a copy down.!!!

This second studio release is an extension of the first solo cd by the ex-UFO axeman. Hard riffing, great grooves, & good song structure.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more reviews and ratings on here. This is some classic hard rock with every song being excellent and well played. On and On and Secondary Motion are my favourite songs.

That eerie, haunting intro to On And On never fails to conjure up images of an old western ghost town saloon. It just reminds me of a scene of ghosts moving about an abandoned building in a ghost town. Weird, huh?

As i said before i've never been a fan of Gary Barden's voice, even though i must admit that in studio albums the man is another thing...this one is a good album with songs that nowadays are classics of the teutonic guitar player...the ones i like from here are "Ready To Rock","On And On","Let Sleeping Dogs Lie","But I Want More" & "Never Trust A Stranger"(nice softy song)...my objective and not to please anybody rate is 85/100...
