There's been a big buzz about this one lately- any comments?

Norwegian CD was pressed up as a promotional effort only. It did not see general distribution. The music offered is what I term 'whimpy' style. Like the West Coast sound of Toto for example. Clearly not my preferred style of music, however, for those into this genre of music, a very well crafted piece of work that will appeal greatly!

Does have some Whimpy songs but it has a few rockin songs a well, Strangers Eyes and Crossfire. Don't hear Toto anywhere, maybe a little bit of Giant. There's also the almost Beatlesque short track Kiss Me....where the sun don't shine.

Yeah, I didn't get a Toto impression here either, but then again who ever hears the same exact thing, right? In any case, this is definatley above average stuff here, and a VERY cool release in my book! Fans of very tight and well produced AOR/HR will think they hit gold on this one, due to it's extremely limited run as an indie promo release, which was funded by Lars Kolshus of the band. This band packed up and moved to L.A. where they created a small buzz before they vanished into thin air.

Excellent melodic AOR/hard rock that does NOT sound like TOTO at all. It's definitely not the rarest CD on earth as the seller may claim. There are other CDs much more rare than this one. Still yet, it's one of the better AOR bands from Norway and I highly recommend it.

Ummm, I'd like to see how available these will end up being after the little wave has past... So someone got a few remaining from the band (keyword: 'few') and once those are gone this baby is gone forever. There were less than 500 of these printed, and it's as a promo only (although a nice little package). If you have a chance (as there will not be too many after the next few are sold) do yourself a favor and grab it, you'll thank yourself for one reason or another later! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Hey all! Mike McManus here. A friend of mine sent me this link. 632 bucks, huh? I wish I still had one to sell! There aren't too many CDs with this cover in existence. After Lars and I moved to L.A., we got the rest of the band together and switched the above cover with a plain white one that just said 'OSLO'. And that squiggly blue pen mark is actually Lars' lousy signature. Haha! Fans of heavier tunes can go to www.egodog.com to hear what Oslo morphed into over the years. Cheers! Mike

Hello Mike - Terje at Rock Of Norway charged me $400 for one of these Oslo cds he must have gotten from Lars. Maybe Lars has more? Looks like this Terje fellow made a lot money instead of you and Lars. The music is enjoyable.

If Terje made ANY money, he made more than me and Lars. Haha! Lars moved back to Oslo about a year and a half ago and I haven't spoken to him since then. I'm sure you can look him up. By the way, Egodog (our band following OSLO) toured Norway in September/October 1998 and opened up for Deep Purple at the Oslo Spektrum. Norway is without a doubt the most beautiful place I've ever been. Cheers, Mike

Sweet f*cking jeezus would you look at this price on this one! Holy f*ck! Happy to say I only have a CDR of this, and that's the way it's going to stay. This is a very nice piece of AOR / melodic rock. To me it reminds me of a more mellow version of the debut Eyes album. Very strong songs and a very good CD. But worth anywhere near the price it sells for? F*ck no. Do yourself a favour and track down a CDR... good stuff.

A good album. Yes, i think they used to sound a lot like Honeymoon Suite, of course, keeping the distances away. But , this is not a bad record at all... just decent if you want to say it like this

I have a mint condition, original OSLO promo CD as pictured, but mine is personalized to me, 'To Buddy Randy from Lars', by Lars himself. We met at a party in L.A. at my place, when they used to hang out with my buddy and drummer, Matt Diaz. Matt if you're out there, post a comment so we can re-connect!

Enjoyable album with good songs but that's about all..the price in E-bay???...that's a masterpiece of a price!!!...'Don't Turn Your Back' & 'Stranger's Eyes' are excellent tracks,'Everytime She Cries' is a nice ballad,'Running Out Of Time' is very good,'Take Your Time' rocks the house,'With Every Beat Of Your Heart' is a pop structured track with kinda cheesy lyrics and chorus,'Kiss Me' is a funny filler, kinda barsong stuff, completely unnecessary...for AOR lovers like myself this is a must have but honestly i expected more of this after reading some extraordinaire commnets..maybe a second listening would help..86/100

I know it's been a lot of years since anyone posted here, but in case anyone is looking Metallic Blue Records is releasing this album on November 11. (Remastered reissue with 4 bonus tracks!) I love this album and had to grab the tracks off of YouTube in order to listen to it, so I'll be thrilled to finally be able to have a legit physical copy.
