Jim from Renegade here. Thanks to Heavy Harmonies for including our record! This is a melodic, rock album made with as much truth and feel as we could do. There are 7 melodic songs (& an intrumental), all with both strong guitar, keys and strings, and good vocal harmonies. There is truth in the lyrics. The CD is well-engineered, and easy to listen too while it rocks. There is one ballad and several different-flavored rock songs. Thanks

Renegade are a step back in time – both with the song style, delivery and production. This one for fans of the classic era of the genre and for fans of pure keyboard dominated AOR. The length of the album is a little short, but AOR purists will forgive the band that.

If you like BLVD (Boulevard), consider this the follow-up to "Into the Street". Yes, it's that good. When I picked this up in a 2nd hand store a couple years ago, I thought it was death metal or thrash. Boy, was I wrong!! I was also thinking my fellow AOR brethren knew about this. Wrong again. Turned out to tbe one of the best kept secrets, an under-the-radar release that only now has received the distribution & attention it deserves. Westcoast AOR at its finest, esp. tracks 1, 2 & 5!

Unbelievable undiscovered gem from this great Canadian band (released in 2001) in the classic 80s AOR field which sounds like a deadringer for the legendary Boulevard - ultra catchy 80s AOR with a great production (courtesy of Mike Fraser) - don´t miss it [Taken from aorheaven.com]

Jim from Renegade here again. Just thought I'd let everyone know we released another CD "On the Edge" on May 11/04. This record contains 7 previously unreleased songs recorded in the 80's as well as 2 brand new ones. Available at www.aorheaven.com or www.renegadesounds.com.

I have both Renegade albums and must say that this one is my favorite of the two. There are different lead vocalists on the two albums. I prefer Marti over Steve. Nothing against Steve but the songs are stronger on this release vs. On the Edge. I do recommend picking them both up as this type of rock needs our support and is very enjoyable to listen to. Jim at Renegade is a great guy and personally answered my emails and took the orders. Check out the albums! You won't be disappointed.

Great AOR/Melodic Rock, Canadienses tenian que ser con ese estilo muy especial en ellos y claro Boulevard es la referencia exacta para definir el estilo de esta banda asi que las palabras sobran cuando se habla de esos Legendarios Don't Be Afraid of the Dark(el corte para mi y es que la Magia que aflora es unica), Standing Out in the Rain, The Best of Me, Big City Nights... asi que si eres amante de los 80's y buscas Magia este disco esta hecho a la medida exacta de tus gustos 9/10

Defo 80s AOR but a bit boring for me and nothing really stands out. They just touch on the start of something good then...it falls apart to be honest it's too cheesy "Big City Nights" is good not great but good...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

A Great AOR album!!. Of course, The Canadian AOR school usually never dissapoints nobody, and this is a great example: AOR in a very BLVD vein, with elements of Melodic Rock of bands like WORRALL and early DANGER DANGER. When I listened this album for the first time i get very surprised, because they sound very similar to BLVD, and i couldn´t believe the fact that a band could sound like them in 2001. My favorite track is the opener "Standing Out in the Rain" but the rest of the album goes in very high levels of quality IMHO.
