After waiting several years for a new 'Lizzy' record,Deal with devil arrives.I had high hopes of this thing being in the vein of the 'Pieces' album, one you could really crank, but with the exception of 'There will be blood tonight, most of the other songs are unmemorable and pretty bland. Hate to be critical of such a talented kick-ass metal singer that is capable of so much more .-----Lizzy,you've got to play the midwest more often ! |

I really like this album. Primarily because it came out within the last 10 years and in no way resembles alterna-shit, nu-metal, or any of the other garbage that's plagued our music scene. I have to give them credit, they basically stuck to their roots here. And I have always liked their stuff anyway. Maybe not quite the caliber of the "Give Em The Axe" or "American Metal" days, but still very good nonetheless! Worth checking out. |

Awesome comeback release from Lizzy! Saw the band on their tour(in Minneapolis Metal T!)for this disc & it was one kickass set! This cd retains the bands 80s flavor & any fans of previous Lizzy releases won't be disappointed here. I would disagree that the tracks here are bland - I would rate this as one of their better releases - first 5 tracks(especially "Zanzibar" - GREAT song!)are as good or better than any of the others. Check it out!! |

I have to be honest and say i agree with the first comment on this release, i found it very bland and as much as i tried i couldnt get into it, i was very dissapointed with this release, there is one kick ass song with some great sitar playing by alex and that is called zanzibar , other than that i would give this a miss. |

First songs are very good, sound like old LIZZY BORDEN but later the songs are not so good anymore. Its still better then what LIZZY BORDEN is working on right now. It will be a kind of a NU METAL/INDUSTRIAL LIZZY BORDEN. If he does that he will loose all his old fans like us and dont forget that the new generation have their own heroes and they dont want a 45 year old man playing their music. |

Very cool album here... hard to believe its from 2000, with the exception of "We Only Come Out At Night" which has a Rob Zombie vibe to it. 9.5 \m/ Lizzy Borden \m/ |

Pretty cool comeback record for old Lizzy... guaranteed, the first time you hear "We Only Come Out At Night," the chorus will be stuck in your head for days... it gets extra points for the cover of BOC's "This Ain't The Summer Of Love" |
