WHOW ! I AM SURPRISED NOBODY GAVE ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THIS CD.THIS IS WONDERFUL STUFF . GREAT GUITAR WORK AND THE NICE VOICE OF HOVINGA MAKES THIS CD A NICE DEBUT FROM THIS BAND. I DON'T THINK THEY FIT IN THE CATEGORY OF PROG METAL, BUT ANYWAY IT'S A MIX OF HARD ROCK ,PROG, SOMETIMES METAL. EXCELLENT STUFF. |

Great debut recording, but the band managed to grow over the years. Although line up changes kept them from the Big successes, they have found themselves with an awesome new disc, "Principles of Pain", which kicks all the new Dream Theater releases in the butt! |

Wonderful guitar work, and a variety of styles, the drums are way better than other albums, kinda fates warning stuff, with several hard rock elements and the excellent soloing of van der laars, i think this is a valuable inspirational work for early and professional guitar players.. |

I think there's a mystake on drums's name here, drums did play by Ed Worby(who played with the most famous ducth death metal band GOREFEST),I don't know who is that man!!BTW first 3 Elegy cds'are essential, great stuff(only in the fourth full lenght still good),great show many years ago in Milan with Stratovarius(painful show from those guys ahaha). It's incredible the E.A.Hovinga voice in"Lost"release, not as an human being IMO ahahah!! |

Another one of my favorite melodic metal cds. It is releases like this and Conception- in your multitude that truly got me into the melodic stuff. A fantastic album that will always have a special place in my collection. |

What you'll hear is brilliant progressive metal. This CD is in the upper league with well played instruments and English vocals with a sound similar to GAMMA RAY meets CRIMSON GLORY with hints of STRATOVARIUS. One of my favs. |
