I do not know where to start to describe Shiva. The first song I heard from them was "No Place for the Living". I like this song alot...I bought the cd because of this song. The song reminds me a little of older Queensryche. I had no idea a woman was singing till I heard the rest of the cd. Some of the songs remind me of a heavier Mr. Big. They have that early 90's hard rock/melodic sound. |

Passion fuels...the Rock that Rulz...that's Shiva. The follow-up disc "Desert Dreams" rocks hard, right down to the toe-nails. Nice work from Anete Johansson and Mats Edstum. |

Simply Put this album Rocks. Pick it up if you like late '80's to early '90's metal. I normally don't care for female vocalist, However Anete Johansson is with out a doubt awesome! She has such power. Support this band they deserve your hard earned cash!!! |

Shiva's debut is one of those albums where once you listen to it, you wonder what you did without it. Sound is similar to Saraya, but with a lot more crunching guitars and a lot faster-paced. Check out "Dow Jones Index," "Free My Soul," and "No Place For the Living," and you'll understand what this band's all about. |

this album is one of the good female fronted cds of the past five years.very much in the alyson avenue style.but they used to be known as yankee heaven.now this album is much better.imho.should have stayed this way.and the new shiva cd is real bad.don't bother with this one. |

What was wrong with "Desert Dreams?" Do you know how long it's been since a female-rocker did something so hard and heavy that it could be compared to Phantom Blue? I encourage the heavy stuff, because the female rock scene has lacked the ballsy attitude for more than a decade. I respect your opinion, but I'm still hoping for an all-heavy affair on album #3. |

yeah i like it heavy.but done well.and this is far from good.the second disc that is.the songs just don't sound good at all imo.i like the s/t and yankee heaven better thats all.if you like it jonny b thats fair enough mate |

Very good melodick class/hard rock, not the last Broke n Blue cd.Personally I prefer this one than”Desert dreams”release, but both are good.Recommended band with good vox, choruses and guitars arrangements.Last song is awesome and refrain’s melody remind me to a great track of Thin Lizzy…. |

One of the best disc's out to date...this album has sweet guitar work and vocals are killer. I enjoy the fast paced songs a bit better than the ballads. Dow Jones Index is my fav on this album. If you don't have this one in your collection you are not a rocker. This is a must have disc !! This disc is becoming HTF as Z records who distributed it is no longer around. |

GOOD CD ! ANETTE JOHANSSON voice is unbelivable ! If you like MELODIC hardrock then you'll love this one ! Even the fans of HEAVY stuff may find some great hooks and riffs ! But they have to check CD #2 & 3 heavier than this 80/100 |

Good debut album but nothing to do with its follower "Desert Dreams",that is a blasting one indeed!!!...yes,Anette has a powerful voice and basically could be the highlight of the band anytime, attitude and charisma is what she offered in here..."Marilyn","Another Man's Wife","Free My Soul","One More Day"(good mid tempo),"Right On Time" & "No Place For The Living" are my faves....86/100 |
