Nice 80s AOR album with typical 80s mood and some hi-tech elements. Check out also ''the key'' album

From: SnakeBuckle Date: December 6, 2004 at 13:57
Oh my God! How can this just now be getting on the site!? Huge 80's melodic AOR, both Dominoe cds are must haves! I remember spending a whopping $35 for this back in '95 and thought I broke the bank. Worth every penny! May sell for more now, but absolutely unbelievable music! Check this one out soon and please get their other cd too, "The Key"!

From: Christine Date: December 8, 2004 at 15:04
SnakeBuckle, titles don't show up here until someone submits them. There's way too many releases out there for Dan & the moderators to search for them all. So if there's something in your collection that you think belongs here, by all means submit it. Just do us a favor... pick one name and stick with it! How many so far, Whiplash... 9?

Merece escucharlos. ;D

Like a few people here at HH, I like quite a lot of the Lite/Hi-Tech (call it what you will) AOR stuff that gets released, and spend many an hour listening to all things 'Fluffy'. This though is 3rd rate, insipid stuff, when played along side some others of the genre. Someone mentioned Balless in reviewing another band -well that definately applies to this one. In fact it is lacking alot of other things aswell. Spend your $40+ that you will pay for this, on something more deserving of your time.

From: Geoff Date: March 5, 2005 at 4:41
Yeah, this is very lite... a bit to much for my likings, but I don't mind this stuff. Probably prefer it to a lot of AOR out there actually. Decent, and 'Here I am' is a cool track.

This is a killer AOR/Hi-Tech album, si señores una joyasa del AOR con toques Hi-Tech, teclados a monton(extragalacticos), guitarras magicas y una bateria contundente, el tipo de AOR de peliculas de los 80, simplemente magico y genial, temazos como Here I Am, Gettin' Hot, The Dice, Family Man, Let's Talk About Life, Miracle, The Friend, No More Lies catapultan este album como joya absoluta del AOR, asi que este clasico no puede faltar en tu coleccion, BUY OR DIE, CLASSICCC!!!!!.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 15, 2005 at 21:07
Hey Jez this album is great, for me is a real winner in the AOR/Hi-Tech Scene.

Rafo - Doesn't do it for me i'm afraid, but as long as your happy.

Indeed it's one of the best german AOR albums. They are not too far away from SKAGARACK, even their singer similar voice if you got imagination Best songs are of course the mighty "Here I am" (please take me back to that time...), "Let's talk about life" & the ballad "I don't know". However, songs like "Miracle" are not far behind. Some songs are more melodicrock ("Family man" e.g.), others more hi-tech driven ("Gettin' hot", "The dice", "The friend" e.g.). 8,4/10

Saludos!!

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: April 26, 2005 at 5:02

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: April 26, 2005 at 5:18

From: The Dolphin Date: April 26, 2005 at 16:09
Keyboard rules here!Amazing songs on this one."Here I am" stamps in my head! The intro of "Let's talk about life"reminds me the intro of Big in Japan of Alphaville 80s pop band.

From: Nanteau Date: April 27, 2005 at 13:31
Yeah.. i think your comparation is right ! And, of course, i know ALPHAVILLE and really like them, especially their live album STARK NAKED (highly recommended !!) In fact, it's a very short step from Hi-Tech AOR to Synthpop like that

From: TONI MALLORCA Date: December 17, 2005 at 13:48

From: juan carlos Date: May 27, 2006 at 0:17

From: lalorock Date: July 10, 2006 at 21:35
grandioso album de los Dominoe donde predominan los teclados, sintetizadores y unas melodías que te envuelven cuando lo escuchas por primera vez, la voz me recuerda al cantante de los suecos gypsy rose, posee unas canciones exelentes tales como family man, gettin´hot, i don´t know exelente balada, las memorables here i am y let´s talk about life que se repiten en versión maxi single, en general no tiene ningún desperdicio, exelente disco con ese toque hi tech aor como dicen por arriba. 9/10

Japanese issue is with the different cover.

Saludos. 9/10

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 25, 2007 at 0:36

From: YIRO Date: November 20, 2007 at 22:48

From: KurtmanJP Date: October 13, 2008 at 12:32
Excellent hi-tech AOR album. WAY better than Balanx by a long shot. "Family Man" "Here I Am" and "Miracle" are my favorites and so is "No More Lies" (In a super-poppy, guilty pleasure way). Picture Dan Lucas gone hi-tech AOR and this is what you'd probably get. Not a filler here. On a side note, I think the flag should be changed from American to German. Isn't Dominoe a German band?

From: newscandi Date: October 16, 2008 at 17:50
sure it's german

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 26, 2010 at 19:17
Wow what do we have here..a fanstastic release indeed..the kind of album that u could easily listen as many times as u want and everytime you do so it sounds as fresh as a cold beer!..anyway to the point...nice intro before hitting "Family Man" a good song,a good chorus,"Gettin' Hot" is cool too and "I Don't Know" is a nice ballad,"The Dice" is a very good track and "Here I Am" is a typical sing along song, this one has a great chorus and musically talking a good composition, definetely a highlight then comes "Let's Talk About Life" which is a goodie and another highlight is "Miracle" a killer ballad is next "Touch","The Friend" lead us into the high-tech territory,"No More Lies" is wonderful and "The End" is an emotive epilogue..the 2 maxi versions are just adittional..in general lines a great album..Jojo fans will love this as Jorg Sieber's vocal tone is sometimes ala Robby Musenbichler..92/100

From: z4roxx Date: April 26, 2010 at 13:43
I am not a big aor expert but this band it's maybe the best out from Germany ever in style.Awesome aor, also the second disc "The Key" was excellent(payed a lot years ago on ebay...).Regards!

From: z4roxx Date: April 28, 2010 at 13:53
Let's listen to "The Friend":it's maybe the greatest aor song ever heard. It's evident in that song how Sha-Boom has been inspired in their second disc.Dominoe one of the best ever.
