| Kix succeed where Tesla flopped earlier this year: they made an album that's true to themselves, but has the energy and sass that fans still want to hear. Rock Your Face Off isn't the band's best work, as topping the trio of Midnite Dynamite/Blow My Fuse/Hot Wire would be damn near impossible. But songs like "Wheels In Motion," "Rollin' In Honey," "All The Right Things," "Mean Miss Adventure" and "Love Me With Your Top Down" are all prime Kix. Steve Whiteman still sounds clear and strong, and while the lyrics about rock '' roll outlaws chasing pussy might seem silly, at least the band don't sound like a bunch of tired old men. "Inside Outside Inn" is a sappy, middle-aged-guy ballad for the wife, and, not coincidentally, sucks, and a couple other songs are below aveerage, but for the most part, this is a good album that should make any Kix fan happy.

| I have been a fan of this band since Midnight Dynamite. That, BMF and Hot Wire are really good guitar driven discs. At first glance, I didn't think much of this new music but man was I wrong. This is Kix through and through even without Donnie Purnell, who wrote most of their popular stuff in the 80's. My favorite is "You're Gone" but most every song is a lot of fun and full of the Kix flare. Kix fans are going to love it. 92/100

| I really think they should have tried to get in a room with amazing songwriter and band founder Donnie Purnell after all. If not using Donnie live, his songs are dearly missed, they could have made a deal of songwriting. Face Off is good, but it is without a doubt missing the much sharper writing pen of Donnie's. This album imo is a 70 whereas Blow My Fuse was close to 100. 3 sides to every story, but Kix with a new bass guy are in fact making a living off the pen of Donnie, to some extent, so I don't like all the bashing. We don't know all the facts. Maybe someone ripped someone off when it comes to money. The usual story. Very sad.
