Don't confuse this band with the Christian commercial metal act of the same name. Sure, there are a few too many fillers on this CD, but it's still one of the best releases on the Escape Music roster. The blueprint for this group's sound & style is straight out of the late 80s, with cranking guitars, crunchy hooks, loud choruses, and lots of backing vocals, meaning it will appeal to fans of Sik Vikki, Silent Rage, Trouble Tribe, and bands of that ilk. Yep, this one's worth shouting about...

TOMMY PLEVIN NOW PLAYS WITH ONE OF BOSTON'S BEST, UP AND COMING HARD ROCK BANDS...... 'BAD MOTHER SEED'

From: George Roelke Date: February 24, 2004 at 18:40
Hello, I am the original bass player of this band, and recorded everything on it, not Mark Norman, but that's another story.(I can thank Drew Ferrante for that.) The reason I am writing is that I am trying to get in touch with my old guitarist Tommy Plevin. You have posted that he is playing with 'Bad Mother Seed' but couldn't find anything on-line. If anybody knows how I can contact him, please write me at groelke@phcs.com.

From: Sully Date: February 26, 2004 at 17:21
I am a friend of Brian Maher, work with him. Happy to say he is still playing and recording.

Let me just say ' George Roelke plays the bass on this cd. I have the original vinyl album and he is listed and he is in the picture. Shout was the best Boston band around in the 80's. I only wish they would get together and do a new album. Hugo, man of a thousand faces

This cd totally kicks ass, features an outstanding singer, John Levesque from Wild Horses, When he sings high he reminds me of Paul Stanley at times. Killer songs one of those pure gems, check out the songs, Love is a drug, stuck in the middle, heartbeat, bad girls and tonight you're mine. The new Wild horses has just been released with John singing on it, it's called Dead ahead. Jay from Australia.

Hello. This is George Roelke, the origional Bass Player of Shout. I wanted to thank all of the old and new Shout fans for keeping the music alive. I just returned from an 18 day tour of Hungary with my latest band "The Greg Leon Invasion" and it was great. Greg has played with Dokken and Quiet Riot (to name a few). Please check out our website at http://gregleoninvasion.com where you can hear sound bytes of our latest album. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you! George

This album really rocks! I bought it after I met George Roelke at a Greg Leon Invasion gig in L.A. (I know Greg personally) I asked George if he was in Shout and he told me he was for 5 years. He's a total hottie and super cool! If you guys like Shout, you should check out The Greg Leon Invasion! Thanks, Barbara

the recipe is simple.you mix garbo talks, ratt, kiss and tangier and the result is....shout.a super class hard american melodic rock record.the singer john levesque is excellent, the musicians ,the 2 guitarists are very talented, the songs will hooked you (except track 13 and the japan bonus track 14) immediatly.ok the production is very average and could be very better.with a real great production this cd could be a killer cd with his sound it stay an excellent cd.

From: Ydol eM Date: October 6, 2014 at 15:21
This album did not deserve so low budget - a rudimentary cover (European one) and rather weak production knock down otherwise catchy and well-written songs somewhere to a lower league. It's a pity because as 123charpenay wrote there had been potentiality but... . Thus "just" good melodic hard rock somewhere between Kiss and Harem Scarem. 80/100.

From: hair metal again Date: December 27, 2017 at 10:40
excellent debut for SHOUT back in 97 ,but these songs are a lot younger as this Boston based act was formed around 86 -87 !John Levesque has always been a great singer &frontman and his approach always commercial hard rocking!SHOUT really rock with great guitars ,big choruses and plenty of hooks with their sound being somewhere between ICON,BLACK N BLUE,KEEL or WILD HORSES!essential of course
