Jeff Scott Soto, sings great in this album, this is why Soto is one of the best singers, his voice is very especial, has a lot of melody and power at the same time. (fistro1@hotmail.com)

This is one of the true classics in the AOR genre and I'm surprised that not many people seem to know it. Jeff never sounded better than on this MASTERPIECE. Listen to Cheyenne and don't tell me if this isn't one of the very best AOR songs EVER !!!! AN absolute MUST !! Buy it at any cost ! CLASSIC pure AOR !!!!!, not hard rock like their weaker first CD !!!

I think it's been Jeff's best band. The Cheyenne is one of the best songs that he has ever written. Or didn't he write it?

This is indeed A TRUE AOR MASTERPIECE and CHEYENNE is a brilliant song. Don't think Jeff did ever a better job than on this record (perhaps on the first Talisman, which is great too !) BUY OR SEARCH IT AT ANY COST ! Their first is more pure hardrock, this is CLASS AOR !

This is truly magnificent, and the first 3 tracks are as good (and varied) a definition of AOR as you're ever likely to hear. Incidentally, pop bird Anastacia released "Love Is Alive" a few years back as a single, but it works great as a poppy-AOR tune too. "Cheyenne" is killer, and "Nobody Said it was Easy" is a vocal master-class.

Tim (2), this is indeed super AOR, as you will seldom hear. Brilliant CD ! I can't repeat it enough !

I was actually quite dissapointed with this one, especially with the weaker sound and more direct approach towards AOR rather than stellar melodic hard rock like the debut. In comparison to the debut, this is not a good album, but as an AOR album alone it is a good CD. 'Love lies' is a great track, but the rest, dare I say, is a little weak for my likings. Yeah, they really toned it down for this one and I personally much prefer the more passionate debut.

This a weak record ? ! Geoff, Geoff ! The debut is not half as good man ! It's more hardrock, agreed, but much more simple ! This is OUTSTANDING AOR, and you don't like the mighty CHEYENNE ? ! Well, well . . ., you're definitely NOT an AOR fan and sorry, I have to repeat it, don't know very, very little about the genre. Keep giving comments on hardrock and alternative stuff, mate, but leave the AOR things to others ! Otherwise you make a fool of yourself ! , and I really don't want that !

'Cheyenne' is a nice song, but I cannot listen to it without thinking, "Hmmm, imagine what this would sound like with the balls, the passion and the drums as they sounded on the debut!" The songs are okay, though not as instantly gripping as the debut, but the weaker sound really lacks the punch of the debut. I'm sorry if you don't agree, but music is as important to me as songs and the guitars, especially drums and everything here just sounds toned down. Good album, just MUCH prefer the debut.

As a matter of fact this is the "DEBUT" album...but they released this second....probably because of the record label. In my opinion this one is much better than the selftitled second album. There are no weak tracks on this. My favourites are "Cheyenne" and "City Nights" perfect AOR/Melodicrock!

Buen disco. 8.

Another excellent CD by Jeff Scott Soto & Eyes, but with a little more of the (what you guys like to classify as the) "AOR" sound than the more hard rock styled self -titled CD. I honestly find "Cheyenne" to be one of the weaker songs here...and it's still pretty good, but sorry to say it's just a little too "lite" sounding or something. It's missing some "ooomph". It's still a really good song, but it could have been better...as Geoff says above, imagine what it would have sounded like with some "balls". And sure, there's a few songs on "Windows Of The Soul" that are repeated from the self-titled CD, but they still work pretty well within the confines of this different CD. And the new songs (yes, including "Cheyenne") make this CD worth picking up. Plus, this version of "Nobody Said It Was Easy" has a nice extended piano intro, and JSS really sounds great throughout the whole disc.

The hard rocking debut pisses in the face of this smoother, slicker--and wimpier--effort like R. Kelly in an underage sex video, but this is pretty good stuff within the AOR genre. The overall vibe is too laid back for my heavier-hitting musical tastes, but the hooks are catchy, the production sounds good, and Jeff Scott Soto delivers an excellent vocal performance as always (the guy could sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and make it sound awesome). Nothing worth selling your soul to the devil to obtain, but worth grabbing somewhere along the way.

What happened to the great band that put out the other two cds. This doesn't even sound like the same band. There is mostly whimpy slow paced no balls average AOR stuff.Unless light love songs are your thing I'd stick to the other 2 and avoid this clunker.

More mellow and polished than the debut, but that's not a bad thing. It also has those three magic words "Jeff Scott Soto". This was one of my first "Jeff" albums. Little did i know the can of worms i was opening up trying to keep track of his releases. As for this album, it's near perfection. Epic ballads, soaring vocals and a really cool feel. Possibly one of Jeffs' best. Absolute must have for any JSS fan.

Hello. My name is Jamie Sheriff. I am the writer of "Cheyenne." Although Steve Dougherty is included in the writing credits, that is because we were writing partners at the time, and agreed to share all our writing. But I actually composed this song and wrote the lyrics, 100%. Please contact me at jamiesheriff@mail.com for more details and more music. Thanks
