I donīt have the album, but the samples here sound great. Pure 80ies hardrock stuff without any compromises. I should buy it! |

Some new old school Y&T, that is what I am talkin' about. This album will take you back to their famous 80's sound for sure. If you are a fan this must be in your collection. I assume that the analog sound was done purposely. Nice touch by Dave and the band. |

Y&T were one of my top 5 favorite bands in the 80's and I listen to them all the time to this day. I haven't really cared for much after "Ten" but the "Unearthed" discs had some really good stuff. Facemelter is a home run for me. Dave sounds great and the tunes could have been on just about any of their 80's discs. I hope they continue to pump discs out on a regular basis. 88 / 100 |

Yeah!!!..this album rocks a lot!..hard and catchy in all aspects with some southern moments here and there that remindes me a little of Lynyrd Skynyrd...great album by Mr Meniketti,a living legend!..after athe prelude comes a very good song,a cool one "On With The Show","How Long" is excellent,"Shine On" is a highlight and a fave,"I Want Your Money" is a pretty good one too,"I'm Coming Home" another falshy number,"Hot Shot" is a fave alnong with "Blind Patriot" which rocks,"Don't Bring Me Down" is Lynyrd Skynyrd a 100%,"Gonna Go Blind" is a good song with a nice guitar opening and "One Life" is another goodie..in general lines a pleasant album, buy it and stiil enjoy one of the most charismatic Hard Rock bands in history...89/100 |

Not quite my thing, but if you love AC/DC kind of rock ala Back In Black style, the samples sound very similar to that. |

several fillers on this new y&t (track 1.4.5.6.8).the rest is excellent y&t in top hard u s.the best song is track 7 "i am coming home" others songs are excellents (classic y&t).i have a weakness for track 12 "gonna go blind" cause this super song looks like to lynyrd skynyrd.it is very easy to imagine johnny van zant singing this song.the japan bonus track "deadly deceiver" is a bomb!!!!!! |

Not sure what Bdrums was listening to but this sounds nothing like AC/DC in any way. This is the Y&T sound of the 80's that we all have missed. Phil and Dave still going strong, good stuff. |

The day has arrived for a new Y&T disc & one I never thought would see the day if I am honest. What I love most about this album (bar the tunes of course) is the way they have completely nailed the 'Old' Y&T sound. Don't get me wrong, I loved albums like 'Contagious' & 'Ten', but they were much slicker & not the Y&T of old for me. 'Facemelter' most definitely is though & sounds much better for it imo. There are some very very fine songs on here , 'Shine On' 'I'm Coming Home', 'Wild Child', 'On With The Show' & 'Blind Patriot' just for starters, all unmistakably Y&T trademark tunes & all excellent. It maybe could have been slimmed down a little, 'Hot Shot' and 'Gonna Go Blind' being the two big culprits for the 'Filler' tag, that could & should have been lost along the way, but 2 blips out of 14 still makes for a top quality album. As I said, I for one never expected a new Y&T disc, never mind one as good as this,so just sit back, relax and enjoy a fine band doing what they do best. |
