This is a great rocker! These guys had the songs & the chops. Yet they never got the recognition that they deserved. Stranger than Paradise is perfect, why this wasn't a top ten single on the pop charts is beyond me.

I think it's a little uneven overall. But I looked for it for a long time because I had to have "Stranger than Paradise"! That song should've been HUGE!

"Stranger Than Paradise" did make the charts but should have done better then it did! "Heros Die Young" should have been on a movie soundtrack....maybe it was? I am not sure of the year but these guys released an album called "Insanity Beach". I am pretty sure it is fairly new.

A real high-octane adrenalin rush. "Stranger Than Paradise" is 100% class all the way. While there's nothing else on the CD that gets the blood pumping quite as vigorously, "Damned If We Do, Damned If We Don't" celebrates vintage "High n' Dry" Def Leppard like it's nobody's business! A pretty solid listen, especially at the highest volume settings possible!

Title track is one of my all-time favorites. If this band makes any mistakes, it's that they occasionally get a bit too soft, as if trying for a hit. As if Top 40 radio would give a chance to a band called Sleeze Beez!

Great dutch band that mixed Def Leppard, Motley Crue with a touch of AC/DC. Stranger than paradise is in the aor heaven, the title track is a wild party metal 100% a la Motley Crue.

Back when this album came out I loved it. I played the crap out of it! But when I hear it now I don't feel the same way. I still think the guitars rock and the beat is good, but over all it is kinda silly. It wouldn't stop me from going and seeing them live. But I don't think that is going to happen any time soon.

Provocativly named "Sleeze Beez" take a more varied approach to standard AOR-ready Heavy Metal than the average bands. "Stronger Than Paradise", for instance, is highlighted by a flavorful, exotic lead and "Damned If We Do, Damned If We Don't" features the unlikely augmentation of a horn section. "The Western World" proves Tough!!! "When The Brains Go To The Balls", a problem that I'am very familiar with.

I don't agree with this album sounding americanized...Great songs and all...Party rock all the way but listen to the title track....Huge comparisons to Accept...Sounds weird but works out great on the album...Not the best hard rock album ever but surely it can fire up any party!

Run of the mill 80's pop-metal played with a bit more energy than most. Very inconsistant, going from the mindless boredom of "House is on Fire" to the frenetic and wonderfully nasty title track. This bunch would have benefited from some song writing help and a mix that brought up the drums a bit. I love the raunchy attitude, but would have preferred brains (Love/Hate, Cats in Boots) to stupidity (PBF, Poison, Faster Crappycat).

Excellent party 80's style rock. Has the over-the-top production that was the staple in the 80's. The title track, "Rock In The Western World" and of course "Stranger Than Paradise" rock hard. 9.0/10.

I actually just picked this one up not too long ago. I had rememberd the song Stranger Than Paradise from back when it came out, I liked it but it wasn't my favorite. But, had I knon how good the rest of the album was, I'd have gotten it sooner. Good songs, fun to listen to. All in all a very good album.

Found this for $1.00 at a used C.D. shop. I can't say that I hated the music, but nothing about it really impressed me. I listened to the C.D three times all the way through when I first bought it, and again several days later, and nothing stood out. I finally got rid of it in an internet trade. I like my metal much heavier so maybe I'm not the person to ask.

Great album. Stranger than Paridise is worth admission alone. Very very good hard rock. I believe Andrew Alt is doing sound for Walter Trout currently. Very cool guy and has great pipes. Get this one. You will not be disappointed.

'Stranger than paradaise' is a gem of gigantic proportions and 'This time' should have been the biggest ballad of all time. Elsewhere, the rock is hard like 'Brains go to the balls' and 'Damned if we do...' Overall, it's just a killer hard rock CD and runs rings around the debut.

Always makes me laugh when these hard-rock bands cover themselves in tattoos and have a picture taken in a smokey bar with a pool cue in hand, trying to look like Guns n' Roses or someone, and then they release a single that's about as heavy as REO Speedwagon. "Stranger than Paradise" is a great commercial tune, and is worthy of me keeping this album alone. The ballad is pretty decent too, but most of the rest isn't. 5/10.

I don't know if think these guys used their brains on every track. The lyrics are really silly, goofy and sing mostly about sex. Hey it was the time of hair and babes. Still it was pretty catchy. You defintely can't take this stuff seriously.

Screwed is a fuckin' brilliant album. Great(big!)drums and outstanding vocals. Catchy, raunchy songs. And Chriz van Jaarsveld is one of the best, and most underrated lead-players on this planet! Ever tried to copy one of his solo's? Weird stuff! The whole band sounds great! Also on powertool, but this one kicked my ass! And it still does!

this band is more in the line of the American sleazy bands, like Motley Crue,Tesla and Skid Row.i don't know why people compare them to Def Leppard.they copy a lot of everything.e.x.the first riff of they cd is taken from Kiss "rock 'n' roll all night"!not the best and most inspired band in the world.but at the end they win you,as you realize that they mix a lot of things in there, and actually bring out energy and fun...not bad!

Killer hard rock record. Sleeze Beez never achieved the fame they deserved, but kept making kick ass records throughout their career. Rock in the Western World, Stranger than Paradise, Damned if We Do, Damned if We Don't, This Time and Heroes Die Young are all notable songs, but the rest aren't bad either.

This heavy sleaze rock may have never been a candidate for Grammy but I like the way they did it. Simple catchy well-played songs with a reference to bands like Motley Crue, Vain, D.A.D., Def Leppard or AC/DC. Nice stuff to listen. 85/100.

This is fun! Hailing from de Nederlands, Sleeze Beez offer a distinctly Euro take on rowdy late-period American hair-metal. The album came out in March of 1990, and had trouble finding much of an audience because there were just so many bands that sounded like this, though "Stranger Than Paradise" had a minor presence on MTV and harder rock radio around May and June of that year. It's a decent, catchy, midtempo ballad. Better still are the rockers like "Rock In The Western World," (Girls Girls, Nasty Nasty" and "Don't Talk About Roses," the latter including a bit of honky-tonk piano for extra mojo. My favorites are the almost-title track (for want of a D), and "When The Brains Go To The Balls." Sonic touchstones are the Cvue at their most anthemic, first-album Skid Row (with whom they toured), and maybe the very rougheststuff from Def Leppard's High 'n' Dry/Pyromania period. The walk/talk, heart/apart lyrics are not the best, but are also not really the point. It's all about the poundi

... pounding rhythms, the gnarly guitar riffs (not too fussy!), and the gang vocals. The 21st-century Swedish bands like Crazy Lixx and Crashdiet are direct descendants of this disc, more so than any American influence. The only weak track is "This Time," the other ballad, which is a bit of a slog. The rest is good for weekend jamming while you drink European beer.
