Spectacular melodic rock. Dennis Ward on vocals sounds like a cross between the Outland singer and Jeff Scott Soto. The songs are well played, and are just sensational. I love pretty much every one. 'Alone' is the perfect opener ala prime Tyketto, brilliant melodic rock, and every track follows in that fashion. 'If you dare to dream' is my favourite track, but you'd be hard pressed to find a dud. 'You can't take me' is another fave, but this is overall awesome melodic hard rock from start to end

I only recently got the first KHYMERA & love it, but this is even better. Ward's JSS-esque vocals suit this material better than Walsh's did,& the production is much better - though still slightly lacking. The material is incredible, from the bombastic keyboard-driven AOR of "Alone" to the poundingly heavy "Damage Is Done" (sounding for all the world like WINGER). There are no fillers. Faves are the pure 80's AOR of "Looking For You" & the glorious ballad "Tomorrow Never Comes". Essential. 9/10.

I Have given this plenty of spins so far & very impressive it is. The songs are ALL of a very good standard, but 'Looking For You' is the clear winner by far for me, although I will say that I still prefer the Don Barnes version from his unreleased album (although sonically this version is a mile ahead). Coming in 2nd place is the excellent 'Give In To The World' & bronze medal goes to the ballad 'Tomorrow Never Comes'.

Production is excellent, except maybe a little lacking in the drums department (a common problem nowadays - Why producers can't get drums to sound like they used to is beyond me in this day & age). Dennis Ward puts in a great vocal throughout & as TIM (2) states does a better job than Steve Walsh did previously. The year started poorly for AOR/MOR in general but is certainly ending on a high with fine releases like Radioactive, 91 Suite & now this fine album. Another one for Santa's list.

In my top 3 for this year, Ward shows he's got a sectret weapon and unleashed it on us. His vocals are very reminicent of JSS in places. Great songs coming from a mishmash of Tyketto, D2, Winger and Ratt. I loved this album and it hit me in much the same way as the Kharma -Wonderland release did a few years ago. I've been put off a bit by Producer projects mainly caused by Grossi making all his artists albums sound exactly the same. Massive Kudos to Liverani for turning my head with this one. On

Best album 2005 IMO, this is just the way I like it, good vocals, plenty of keys and strong songs with catchy refrains all over it..GREAT!My favourites are the magnificent "Alone" this one is for me, perfect AOR!!,"Let It Burn" and "Tomorrow Never Comes" all from the "SUGARTOWN" album. Then we have "Looking For You" (from the Don Barnes Unreleased album)now this is what I call refrain, dutt dutt heaven! Of course there is a wonderful ballad here too.."All That I Have"..this is a must buy!! 9,5

Agree with the comments above, this album is spetacular, no fillers, 13 great songs, with the ballad "All that I have" been my favourite along with the wingerish "Damage is done" and the great opener "Alone". Just can't find that Jeff Scott Soto comparison.

De lo mejorcito: "After The Way","You Can't Take Me","Let It Burn","The Damage Is Done", etc. esto es Hardrock del firme Saludos. 9.1/10

wouww, gran disco con una introducción cargada de riffs duros que anteceden a Alone uno de los mejores temas del album a mi parecer, encontramos teclados, guitarrazos, melodías maravillosas, asi es todo el album Let it burn, Looking for you mis favoritas,All that i have medio tiempo excelente

'Even though you love me,And you think you can't break free,You're wanting everything,But everything's not me!-It's the thought of heaven,In someone else's hands.God knows,I wish myself to sleep,In dreams...-But if you need me I'll be there,You don't understand,Why I will be there,But if you need me,I'll be there,for you...'(Tom & James Martin)... ... A.,I'm sorry

a little add to my last comment. the intro is weird.musically it s sound a little metal with no melody.track one is the only weak point of this exceptional record.

From: titothetitan Date: November 13, 2020 at 11:25
It's a better album than the debut, with a better singer and better songs. I cant' find a filler song this album, but I think it lacks an AOR anthem song.
