Brilliant pop/AOR, unknown but better than the big names, that's for sure. You can not miss this little gem. Search and find it ! And now, the rating for this one will go down drastically, because I, Freddy De Keyzer, do like this ! Contact me man : freddydekeyzer@hotmail.com and we can discuss about music personally, not on the childish way you're working now. Two Fires, Intruder,The V.U.(killer stuff), Bystander etc. are BRILLIANT AOR ! Nuff said !!!

Oh my God,what a masterpiece.Search and buy it at any cost.Believe me, in all my life I have heard(and have) so many good AOR albums but this is something like heaven.Fantastic melodic album which make to the listener to travel in a magic altitude of harmony.

Grett, great !!!!! A mystery not more people have discovered this little jewel ! Well, it's never too late !!!!

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 24, 2004 at 17:33

From: The Dolphin Date: October 14, 2004 at 13:33
Awesome aor album...amazing keyboards!

From: Geoff Date: December 9, 2004 at 20:01
As I said about their other release, I don't usually go for this kind of keyboard drenched AOR, but f*ck me rosy if these guys don't write some of the biggest hook-friendly AOR tunes ever. 'Guilty', 'Heaven tonight'... it's a glorious listening excursion, this one. I prefer their other release just slightly, but both are gems and come highly recommended. I just realised, the letter O contains quite a few solid AOR albums!

SUPER CD!!!REMINDS ME AT THE DEBUT DARE'S CD,VERY SIMILAR SOUNDS,PRODUCTION AND MELODIES,TOO.A MUST HAVE!

From: TIM (2) Date: February 21, 2005 at 14:36
Great UK band, famed for playing a very different style of music, but in this guise Outside Edge play quality AOR very much in the early Dare/Heartland mould. Schmankerl Records have both their albums very cheaply, and they're well worth picking up for fans of Brit AOR. The poor sound quality can't disguise the excellent tunes within. A criminally underrated band. 8/10 for both albums.

UGH what a horrible cd this guy is a horrible singer i cant believe anyone thinks this is a great cd it supercheese-----ive heard better from garage bands-----very amatuer stuff on this cd i would research this more before paying anything for it i put it in my garbage pail-utter garbage!

From: AOR freaky Date: August 16, 2005 at 14:17
BRILLIANT , BRILLIANT ? Who is yulog ????????? This is one the most catchy poppy AOR CD's you'll ever hear ! Almost as good as their second one. Both are RECOMMENDED !!!!!

From: PAUL Date: December 26, 2005 at 16:02
This is what i call PURE, CLASSIC, BRILLIANT AOR! Even better than their debut-album and certainly much better than DARE. Just listen to the mega-ballad 'guilty' or the keyboard-driven 'fire & ice' and you'll understand what i mean. Easily in my top 10 British AOR albums.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 9, 2007 at 8:08
EXTREMELY BRILLIANT AOR!!!!! It`s a shame that this alltime-classic isn`t as famous as releases by well-known acts like JOURNEY or SURVIVOR!!! BUY BUY BUY!!!!!! (10/10)

From: george_the_jack Date: February 6, 2007 at 11:21
fantastic AOR sruff from farmer brothers...everyone AOR fan who respects himself and the music he loves, must have this historical release! It's a pitty that the album contains only 8 tracks. It's a must guys that travels us back to 80's melodies with a crystalline production! n'joy!!!!

From: george_the_jack Date: February 6, 2007 at 11:39
these are tracks that probably brian adams would be jealous or he would never write.....the fans of brian should pay ATTEBTION! the voice of tommy farmer is a combination of brian adams and meatloaf. So, let the melodies surround u!

Oh my dear

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 17, 2010 at 19:11
This album is more mature than their amazing (at least 4 me) 'Running Hot' release wich was more towards the pop/aor territory more than other thing...the voice of Mr Farmer has gotten better here and you can notice that in tracks such as 'Not Made Of Glass','Guilty'(smooth song, the one you can listen in the middle of the night!),'Flesh And Blood'(killer AOR),'Heaven Tonight'(catchy chorus)and 'Never Too Late' (a great closing song 4 sure)..shamely the band vanished after this album, never got the chance of a third album as far as i know...my recommendation is to get both album that were kinda of 2 different musical approaches but very good ones..85/100

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 11, 2010 at 13:53
Where is the first album from 1984? not like these ones but is good, This band is like a Drug in the good sense of the word if you are a total fan of them then you need too their demos + unreleased album (3) and of course their video concerts and clips.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 18, 2010 at 22:16
Exactly Rafo!.....and where is 'Call Me'...

From: Desio75 Date: June 8, 2011 at 16:37
Of course all the words of Mr. Rafo Phoenix are pure truth!!If we add 3rd unreleased cd(may be called "Call me""), they could have a perfect discography of pure and magic melodic rock...great and amazing keyboards and infinite emotions..may be the voice of Tom Farmer could bother somebody, but we are on outstanding level!! 95/100 (in my top ten of melodic rock work all-time; don't joke);unfortunately this outfit is almost unknown between large people and known only by fan of this genre!! Greetings from Italy by Desio75!

A bit of an underground classic this one and much much better than the debut album, which was song wise, good, but let down badly by the dodgy vocals. This time around, Mr Farmer has actually learn't how to sing, although he still isn't exactly great (oh to hear someone like Steve Overland or Chris Ousey sing these songs). There's Only 8 tracks, but there is absolutely no filler at all on show here, which makes this an absolute joy to hear. This has just been re-issued along with the debut, so now is your chance to check out one of THE great Brit AOR albums.

From: CLOUD FORCE Date: October 23, 2014 at 16:00
Total AOR masterpiece.Farmer is simply great,no matter what they say,if you love AOR,you ll love this.Rock on in Heaven tonight!!

From: 123charpenay Date: August 29, 2017 at 6:54
yes this time the singer is better, yes it s a great aor realise.but this record have absoluty nothing in common with the fantastic debut album of dare wich is a real masterpiece full of hits.outside edge have no hits ,no killers songs and have not the spark of class of dare.dare plays in champion s league.not outside edge.

From: hair metal again Date: August 30, 2019 at 7:14
excellent 2nd release for OUTSIDE EDGE that was never released back in the day ,but as they say it s never too late!heartfelt vocals ,great key lines and good songs are offered here with their sound being very similar to early DARE & VIRGINIA WOLF!"heaven tonight","shooting straight from the heart","guilty" are fine songs indeed !brilliant
