Excellent cd featuring Ex Touch man Doug Howard. Top notch Melodic rock, and a fine selection of songs with a good production, make this one of MTM's finest releases ever. Up there in the top ten of the year. Recommended

From: ROB GARCIA Date: April 1, 2003 at 14:46
i agree with jez this is a very good album of melodic rock although they remind me of def leppard especially in the backing vocals but thats fine by me...how about you!.

From: M. Allen Date: April 3, 2003 at 15:57
This CD opens with the stunningly-awesome melodic rocker "Love is a Liar," a big, over-the-top, Def Leppard-esque anthem that sounds like pure heaven. Unfortunately, the band cannot maintain that level of quality and the rest of the songs, while good in their own right, suffer by comparison. Still, once the catchy hooks, sing-along choruses, and layered backing vocals have sunk in, you won't want to let this one go.

From: koogles Date: April 4, 2003 at 0:30
The best tracks on this CD are the power ballads "If You Want Love" & "No Words Can Say". The former reminds me of Van Halen's "When It's Love". HUGE vocals on "Love is a Liar" & "Hungry Eyes" will have Def Leppard fans sticking blow-dryers up to their pants after a SERIOUS onslaught of wetness. "Deliver" is the icing on an already pretty sweet cake. Sprawling AOR of the highest order. This CD is the best thing to EVER come out on MTM. Believe Jez. If you can't do that, then at least believe me!

From: Rycheage Date: June 23, 2003 at 18:37
The opening two tracks on Stun Leer's Once album give you an impression that this is going to be one hard rocking album. Both "Love Is A Liar" and "Go Don't Go" are splendid slices of melodic heavier rock, that send one back to the era of the classic Scorpions 'Rhythm Of Love' sound. But after those two, the album heads in an even more melodic direction, with some really smooth mid paced rockers and some nice Def Leppardesque balladry.

you can pay many dollers.for a cd.but why bother when you can pick up this cd for a few.and every doller would be well spent.

From: aorjocke Date: April 8, 2004 at 10:06
Excellent Melodicrock/AOR album from the first track to the last. For me the best tracks is "Go, Don't Go", "If You Want Love" and the MEGA "Eye To Eye" who is an absolute killer AOR song!!This is definitely one of the best of MTM:s releases,it has the big production who makes this even better. For fans of "Giant","Rox Diamond","Talor Made"...

From: Rockhead Date: April 8, 2004 at 10:45
Have to agree with the general concensus on this one. Awesome melodic rock with a varied track listing that means there is almost somthing for everyone. Highly recommended 9/10

From: Geoff Date: September 20, 2004 at 0:34
Crucify me if you will, but to me this is a classic melodic hard rock release. I love every track, namely the massive opener, 'Love is a liar', the extremely melodic 'Go don't go', the perfect ballad, 'If you want love', the melodic hard rock perfection in 'Eye to eye' and 'Hungry eyes', another stunning ballad in 'No words can say' and one of the best melodic tracks ever - the stunning 'Deliver'. Quote me when I predict this a classic of the future. 9.99999/10

From: Dave Date: September 20, 2004 at 5:47
Geoff, you will not be crucified by me. I picked this up out of the Bargin Bin for next to nothing , went home and played it and could not get the smile off my face.Would easily pay full price for this if i ever had to get it again! This album is a gem !!!

From: Border Rat Date: September 20, 2004 at 18:30
I agree with you guys about this super cd.It took me a long time to really appreciate the tracks in the middle part of the cd because they differed slightly from the ones at the start and tail end of the disc. After many years of playing this cd I think it is a gem from start to finish. There are no fillers here.Go don't go,eye to eye, hungry eyes and deliver have always been among my favourite tracks but overall this is a must have cd. 10 out of 10.

From: MelodicBoy Date: October 28, 2004 at 0:10
Glad to know I'm not the only one out there that stumbled onto this gem. Definitely a bit Leppard-esque, but I hear a bit of Slaughter influence, too. Hard to believe something this cool came out in the late 90s. If you like melodic hard rock, snap this up, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the best 90's releases. Every track is a gem, the ballads are world class power ballads, "Go, Don't Go" and "Deliver" are top quality AOR. God, how I miss releases like this one...

From: AOR freaky Date: January 17, 2005 at 13:56
Right MelodicMan : great AOR release !

From: Erik Date: January 18, 2005 at 1:25
Killer album ! Was there a follow up released or did they split up ?

From: Geoff Date: January 18, 2005 at 3:42
Hey Erik. Rumour has it that vocalist Doug Howard's 'Last man standing' album was originally set to be a second Stun Leer release. This did not end up happening, obviously. His solo album is a decent slab of hard rock, but very different to Stun leer. Not a speck on how brilliant this CD is.

From: Erik Date: January 18, 2005 at 6:40
cheers Geoff. " No words can say" how i like this album.

From: ace66 Date: January 18, 2005 at 7:00

Making a trip, listening that is , down memory lane today. What an album hey ? In 97/98 MTM released some quality stuff indeed ( Tower City, Jimmy Lawrence and of course ST ). 8,9/10

From: juan carlos Date: May 6, 2007 at 0:35

From: Aor/HardRock Date: October 12, 2007 at 17:31

From: Japangea Date: December 7, 2007 at 3:19

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 14, 2008 at 22:55

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 14, 2008 at 22:58

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 26, 2011 at 21:35

excellent hair metal release by STUN LEER with their sound strongly of WINGER s 2nd release!the band has a fine balance between guitars and keys ,the songwriting is fantastic and the approach extremely commercial!all the songs are great and Once is essential by all means

From: 123charpenay Date: March 24, 2015 at 15:03
