I can't remember if I liked this band- I'll have to retrieve it.

From: T-Bone Date: March 26, 2003 at 1:00
Johnny Vines was the original lead singer for Lillian Axe

AWESOME, JUST AWESOME!!!!!!

From: David Date: October 28, 2003 at 21:44
Does anyone know anything about this one????????? Who they sound like or if you can get it on cd?

From: JLPRocks Date: October 29, 2003 at 0:02
David....of course you can get this one on cd. They were a local Houston band back in the day. They're your typical 80's styled hard rock band. Don LaFon is a great guitar player and is currently in the band Mystic Cross *another kickass band*.

Goooood stuff. I like every second of it. Only complaint is that there isnt enough numbers on it.

From: mixaplic Date: April 13, 2004 at 17:05
This cd reminds me of 'Restless Breed' era Riot. Vines sounds a great deal like Rhett Forester. Guitarist Lafon isn't all that flashy but is very good at what he does, which is keeping things tight. Don't get me wrong his solo's aren't at all amateurish. If you like the aforementioned Riot record this is a must own.

The singer is realy good.

From: tomcat Date: June 24, 2004 at 14:11
'sometimes' is a great song, about not giving up on your dreams..A cool drive song.

From: gener8tr Date: October 11, 2004 at 9:47
The original Lillian Axe demos with Johhny on vocals are great. Not nearly as polished or strong as Taylor, but an interesting contrast!

From: tomcat Date: March 3, 2005 at 1:42
it's me again, just wanted to add that the first song "sonshine come" is really cool..."you can't keep a good man down"--) nothing to add here.. check this record out my melodic rockfriends...

The band lack good material, they play very well, and they could have been big if they had just written better tunes. But beeing a debut cd, I must say, that they delilver the goods.

Got it from the band to review when it was released. Would've loved to hear a complete album. This one sure is promising. Good, solid melodic hard rock!

From: wallerzoo Date: November 3, 2006 at 11:36
Hey - If you like this you need to check out Don LaFon's new band "Six Minute Century" at sixminutecentury.com. They are Prog/Power metal and he is awesome!!!!

From: mkelley Date: February 23, 2009 at 23:07
I had a great time recording this CD... All the guys are top notch! The engineer/producer did Queen, Journey, Toto, Motley Crew, Twisted Sister just to name a few! His name is Geoff Workman (google the name) Anyway I wish we could have done more....Narvana came out as we were kicking ass and all the lables wanted the grunge sound.... Mark Kelley drums

From: sharatan Date: February 24, 2009 at 4:28

Great Hard Rock/MHR album/EP, if you like Tesla/Lillian Axe/Great King Rat etc style... agree about Mystic Cross a Very Good band and Heavy Harmonies need it too, agree with wallerzoo Six Minute Century are more Melodic/Prog/Power Metal and their album is very good, this one 90/100.

From: Erikk Date: January 8, 2022 at 9:41
Sonshine come is the opening and best track. Good vocals but kinda standard hard rock. Not bad, not great. Lacking real stand out material.
