Another milestone in AOR, this gem. Listen to 'Welcome To The Real World', what a monster of a song !!! Great harmonies, and what a melody ! It even sounds better on LP than on CD, you hear better the nuances on lp, crazy but true ! I have both versions and I don't want to miss not single one of the two ! This is CLASSIC AOR, no longer made these days (see also Dakota and Runaway). I gave this a ten, but soon there will be hundreds of ratings to nail down this masterpiece, cause I like it !

From: freddy de keyze Date: March 31, 2003 at 7:45
Hé, was it pleasant to nail down the rating, you idiot. Be a man, and say who you are. It's the bands that you destroy, not me !

From: erik Date: July 25, 2003 at 4:56
Have not been able to get hold of both albums by Bystander yet. Cant wait though to hear some CLASSIC AOR !

Excellent album, very much in the Canadian Honeymoon Suite/ Haywire (Bad Boys) vein, (although this is a US band). The title track is indeed an excellent example of mid/ late 80's aor being peddled by many great artists at the time. The only let down is the dodgy dance mix bonus track which should have been left well alone. Recommended

Freddy, Freddy, where are you ? Please, come back ! WHy ? Because he's right again ! This is so good, BRILLIANT ! And check out their second CD too ! Again a very underrated, but FANTASTIC act !

excellent rock album, the kind you can't get anymore

I love it ! Sounds not all outdated. A gem indeed. Desiree !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Asi pues si te gustan bandas como Monro,Hunter,Bite The Bullet...DALE UNA OPORTUNIDAD.

From: ROBERT Date: April 11, 2005 at 9:13
Disco normalito... un 6 como muxo! Lo q no es normalito es: http://www.roqeinlles.com/ pedazo d Web d AOR en Castellano, para todos akey@s q busken AOR clasico y raro, como es mi caso.... Cortesia d mi Paisano y kerido Amigo y Vecino: Champions.. NO OS LA PERDAIS!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: September 10, 2005 at 1:11
Good AOR album, el album tiene sus buenos cortes de AOR con marcha como son Running in Circles(My favorite), Welcome to the Real World, Desiree, Love Games, Out of the Night, You're History lo mejor del repertorio, el resto se mueven en otro rumbo, muy similares en estilo a los Honeymoon Suite y el sonido Canadiense, asi que como lo dije un buen album donde la mitad del disco te gustara y la otra ya no tanto por el rumbo que toman esos temas, este es mejor que el siguiente trabajo.

Again, one more TRUE GEM in rock'n'roll music, man what's wrong with America today??? Where's that melodic rock spirit that astonished me??? Where are those bands today, pitty i'm born in a wrong place at a wrong time!

From: Faust Date: October 19, 2006 at 13:02
This band is still wrongfully 'unkown' and ofently underrated. Their first album is a classic AOR gem, essential for all the 80's rock sounding lovers. Except of the dispensables bonus track dance mix, this is a truly classic AOR jewel.

From: aorteto Date: November 13, 2006 at 16:07
A pair of winners ( WELCOME TO ..., WHAT DO ALL THE PEOPLE ...) and a lot of MORE THAN fillers.

From: z4roxx Date: May 29, 2007 at 4:20
Simply fantastic band.Super-aor with several hits...Can't add anything...IMO this is very close to perfection even if I am not into this genre as 10 years ago.

From: KurtmanJP Date: March 5, 2008 at 17:32
HOLY FREAKING AWESOME! I'm BLOWN AWAY! The only fillers on this CD are the dance mixes! My favorites songs are "Let Me In" "You're History" and "Running In Circles" but the others tracks are also made of WIN!

From: KurtmanJP Date: March 25, 2008 at 1:41
Oh yeah, "Desiree" is a killer song as well!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 1, 2010 at 17:27
Completly in agreement with Kurtman JP,the only fillers are the "out of place" remixes apart from that a solid album (as for me goes only that,a solid album, not a masterpiece).tracks 1,2,4,5,8 and 10 the ones that caught my attention off the album.88/100

I have heard only a few songs via youtube, but they are first class!

From: playhogan Date: June 17, 2013 at 18:56
I am not sure what everyone else is hearing but this is not that good. The first song is okay. After that I cannot even listen to it. The singer is terrible. Just my opinion.

From: MelodicMetal4Ever Date: April 7, 2022 at 21:09
I like a few songs but wasn't bowled over. The singer is good, the choruses are good just didn't "grab" me but a few songs. My favs are: Desiree, Welcome To The Real World & What Do All The People Know. 7.5 out of 10
