Excellent album!!! Full of pure hard rock hymns and great ballads!!! "In Trance" is one of the best hard rock album of all time and surely one of the best works of Scorpions!!! A Must for the hard rockers!!!! |

Maravilloso. Y que recuerdos me trae este disco! Con ese sonido tan característico de los primeros Scorps, y la voz mágica de Klaus Meine... hay baladas alucinantes, Living and dying, Evening wind, Lifes like a river...pero la canción que se sale es In trance. |

This was a first for the Scorps in so many ways-The first album to bear the legendary logo, the first to feature totty on the cover and the first to feature more rock and less psychedelia. A classic set of songs that still sound great 30 years on. Not many have had the longevity of the Scorps and IMO this is where the magic began. |

Evening wind is the best Scorpions´ song i have ever heard, simply is magic. The album is a moster classic 10/10. The scorpions is my all time fauvorite band and they´ll come in June to my hometown in Estepona (Spain), so i´m a lucky man. Contact:davidgilvallejo@wanadoo.es |

Agree with Hard Rocker. Amazing piece of art from very tallented musicians. This CD easily outcompeted any of their album from 80s, IMO. 10/10 |

Scorpions song-writing becomes a little more compact and simplified however they still display excellent musicianship. The distinction between Roth's songwriting contributions and the songs produced by Meine/R. Schenker are more clearly defined here. The most accessible album yet with razor sharp melodies and a great sonic quality to the overall sound. There are three very strong ballads on offer here with "In Trance", "Life's Like a River", and "Evening Wind". "Longing For Fire" still may be my favorite Scorps rocker ever, even after seventeen studio albums--with amazing dual solos courtesy of Uli Roth. "Sun In My Hand"--written by Uli--provides a nice change of pace (As well as some psychedelic leads) and establishes a variety of contrasting styles that was noteworthy of the Roth era. "Top of the Bill" has a nice, deliberate riff and "Robot Man" is uptempo and catchy. 90/100 |

A raw & heavy sound in here..."Dark Lady" and "In Trance" are the best cuts IMHO...tracks 4,6 & 9 are also good ones...this band step by step has become in Rock Icons...78/100 |
