This album goes in the same vain as early ALIEN releases. The two songs "Northern Light" and "Where There Is A Will" are from Pete Sandberg's days with MADISON and they truly rock. Also "Time and Again" and "All In Disquise" are really remarkable tunes, and throw in the excellent ballad and one of my personal faavorites "Nights In Mexico" that really shows the passionate voice of Pete in full extend. The same goes with the FANTASTIC bonus track.Very good effort from one of the worlds best voices!! |

I loved early Alien, but I was never a really huge fan of his voice. A bit strangled and nasal sounding, and his solo albums have mostly disappointed. The P.S's Jade debut album before this one was better, but neither are particularly stunning. Heavier than his work in Alien, and certainly not as good as the Snake Charmer "Smoke & Mirrors" album which is the best thing he's ever sung on and more along the lines of the Alien stuff than this is. |

A little surprised with the low score as this is not a bad little CD at all. Agree with Tim (2) that Pete was never the greatest vocalist by any means and that the other Jade album is quite good too. I must disagree and say that I prefer this 100 times over Snake Charmer. 'No way out' is beautiful melodic rock, 'Love in vain' is a balladic gem and I like most the ballads, 'Time and agin' is a very cool melodic rocker and overall a good solid CD. Thumbs up! |

Have I already commented that "NIGHTS IN MEXICO" is a H*A*M*M*E*R ballad . Well, second best to me (as a rock-ballad lover) is the other top ballad "Me and my piano" too. Some good AOR/ heavier tunes make this a very good album for that year! 8,2/10 |

EMPEZAR LA CRITICA A ESTE DISCAZO ES DIFICIL:EN MI OPINION SUPERIOR A AQUEL PRIMERO DE LOS ALIEN,NORTHERN LIGHT ABRE CON GRAN MAESTRIA DESPLEGANDO UN AOR QUE SOLO SANDBERG PUEDE DAR,LA EXCELENTE TIME QUE MELODIAS,NO WAY OUT FABULOSA DE MIS FAVORITAS,LA ACUSTICA LOVE IN VAIN BUENISIMA,POWER OF GOLD SI ACASO LA UNICA CON TOQUES HARD-AOR,WHERE THERE IS A WILL OTRA PIEZA BUENISIMA,TIME AND AGAIN OTRA DE MIS FAVORITAS,PERO CUANDO ESCUCHE NIGHTS ON MEXICO COMO ADORO ESTA PRECIOSA BALADA. |

Nice album with nice songs and Pete's voice just fits perfectly fine to these type of music..."Northern Light","Time","No Way Out","Where There Is A Will","Time And Again","Can't Stop Lovin' You" & "All In Disguise"(best cut of the album IMHO) are tracks that will put a in your face...recommended...88/100 |

Most certainly a more complete and mature album than the earlier s/t album, with some good compositions and very expertly produced too. The opener Northern light is a real delight, and Time and again is top aor. And Nights in Mexico is a beautiful heartfelt ballad, very well executed. |

Many of the songs are re-recordings of Madison unreleased 3rd album. |
