In my opinion, the only descent release bu Krokus ever. Stayed Awake All Night, which was originally recorded by Bachman Turner Over drive is a hardhitter and very good. So are 4-5 of the other tracks. Apart from that I ```hate```Krokus.

From: jason Date: June 8, 2002 at 19:02
Well everyone, KIM "hates" Krokus. Oh well, I think this album is top to bottom, great. I always thought that Marc Storace has one of the best hard rockin' voices out there. The two guitar players worked real well together. Not bad considering their from Canada.

Krokus is from Switzerland, not Canada. I deleted the material that followed since it really didn't serve a purpose. Jason, settle down.

From: jason Date: June 9, 2002 at 16:16
What............. were my tones a little heavy lastnight? I don't really remember, must have been the black barry brandy-LOL. Anyway, isn't Switzerland owned by the Canadians? - LOL!

From: Kim Date: June 9, 2002 at 16:29
Stay cool Jason. I love Brandy too. . Dan you rule. Just listened to this again. There are some classic moments here. I love Headhunter,White Wolf, Stayed Awake All Night. But But But, listen to track 4 Ready To Burn. That high pitched voice is annoying. After he sings, ``are you ready to burn`` it sounds like his ``nuts`` got stuck in his zipper. If you get my meaning. Apart from that, this cd is a must for lovers of 80`s Metal.

From: jason Date: June 9, 2002 at 16:42
Oh yeah,.........well those guitars sure make up for it! The riffs in that song are GREAT! Oh, don't worry......I'm cool!

From: Kim Date: June 9, 2002 at 16:44
Does anyone recognize some Ac/Dc and Bon Scott here.??

From: jason Date: June 9, 2002 at 16:47
People have been saying that for years. To tell you the truth, it would be quicker to count the bands on this site that DON'T sound like AC/DC than it would be to count the ones that do. AC/DC has been mocked so much over the years.

From: Axelinger Date: October 26, 2002 at 1:50
I'm in agreeance with David Lee Roth -- Marc Storace looks like a Mexican waiter. For those who think young -- like about 11...

A CLASSIC METAL ALBUM,FROM START TO FINISH.....'NUFF SAID

From: patiscat Date: December 30, 2002 at 18:18
This is one of the the best heavy rocking albums made in the 80's. Tight stuff with a first class singer. In January 2003 they release a knew CD. Check it out ! www.krokusonline.com

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: February 16, 2003 at 5:11
Hey TIM! If you get a chance lissen to the song 'Russian Winter'. That is a very over looked song by this band, although most would also say that this is their best album.

From: VINCE Date: March 3, 2003 at 15:59
PEOPLE,PEOPLE.........THIS ALBUM IS BAR FAAAARRRR THE BEST KROKUS EVER DID,I LIKE MOST KRUKUS,BUT THIS ONE IS UNDESCIBABLE....NOT ONLY THEIR BEST BUT TOP 5 OF ALL TIME!!THEY HAVE A NEW ONE OUT"ROCK THE BLOCK"..CHECK IT OUT..THEY ARE BACK!!

From: Kim HP Date: April 15, 2003 at 19:30
Probably Their best album along with 'The Blitz'. 'Screaming In The Night' is just a great song. The other songs are very good too. If you like 80's AC/DC influenced metal, you will love this. Note to Jason: Krokus are from Switzerland, not Canada.

From: Fog-hat Date: May 20, 2003 at 15:14
Headhunter was the last great Krokus album. The other two were Hardware and One vice at a time. Sure, they sound a little like AC/DC, but they do a good job of it.

From: steve Date: May 23, 2003 at 17:32
i have it, solid, love eat the rich and headhunter the best

From: ED Date: December 10, 2003 at 10:05
TRULLY A CLASSIC. EVERY SONG IS COOL, SPECIALLY "SCREAMING IN THE NIGHT", THE SONG THAT MADE ME INTEREST WITH THIS BAND. IT'S COOL THAT THEY ARE BACK!

From: Celeste Date: January 31, 2004 at 16:25
Fog-Hat?.....Any reference to the band??? If so,I didn't think I would ever see someone else who knew them. Love the good old rock and roll!

From: Great Dane Date: January 31, 2004 at 20:36
I hate all their stuff, exept, HEADHUNTER which is awesome. Am I totally wrong, or were they a gay band.?? Which other releases of theirs are good. Blitz, and the later releases all stink.

From: Blue Tequila Date: January 31, 2004 at 22:27
Metal Rendezvous & One Vice At A Time are pretty cool and Heart Attack is good but I think that Headhunter is Krokus at their best.

From: Mike Date: February 8, 2004 at 1:44
Great album from a great Canadian band.

From: Metal Pete Date: February 23, 2004 at 14:08
Great Dane, buy 'One Vice at a Time'. YOu won't be disappointed. That said, I LOVE this album. In fact, I just made a compilation (before seeing the comments here) with 'white din' adn 'Russian Winter' on it---I agree that is a great, totally overlooked song! This album rocks from start to finish. It is their best release by far.

From: Tocallo Date: March 30, 2004 at 16:18
EN LOS 80's BANDAS COMO JUDAS PRIEST,IRON MAIDEN,OZZY OSBOURNE,ACCEPT,AC/DC,DIO Y DESDE LUEGO KROKUS. FUERON Y SON LOS MEJORES DE TODO EL UNIVERSO!!!!!!!!PERDON POR NO INCLUIR A OTROS GRUPOS COMO TWISTED SISTER,MOTLEY CRUE,QUIET RIOT,RATT, ETC. QUE ALGUNOS SON EXELENTES ,PERO DESGRACIADAMENTE SOLO UNO O DOS DE SUS DISCOS FUERON REALMENTE BUENOS..

From: Rycheage Date: June 1, 2004 at 21:56
You know you're in for a treat from the opening few bars of the title cut. Pounding drums from Pace followed by truly brutal riffing far removed from the memorable AC/DC' ish efforts of yesteryear. Perhaps one of the greatest openers ever. 'Screaming In The Night' is the best known cut, a metal ballad supposedly, but gathers steam as it progresses through it's six plus minutes. A tour de force effort from Storace and the closest to an AOR chrorus you'll get here. Great song and great CD.

From: jack Date: June 8, 2004 at 6:43
Wow, i like krokus's music..its hard hitting rock and roll music much like ac/dc,accept and wasp.

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 14:21
Stayed awake all night?! Absolute classic song! Evcellent band at the time, great party music. If you don't care for these guys, buy just this one for the next sixxer.

From: ED Date: December 18, 2004 at 14:41
I have this one and THE BLITZ. Both cd's are awesome! I just love this one over THE BLITZ, which is way too commercial, but still good.

From: Metalhead66 Date: January 27, 2005 at 16:57
This is the Best Krokus IMO. I Never tire Of these Jam's!! Cool Fact: Jeff Klaven, the Drummer on latter Albums was from Decatur Il.His Mother was a Substitute Teacher we had in high school( Class of 1984) .She would Tell us Crazy stories and Bring in Pics of him with the Band...They Never git the Credit as a Band IMO.9/10!!!!

From: themartin Date: July 22, 2006 at 15:43
IMO the best Krokus album. It ain't original at all, a mixture between Scorpions,ACDC and maybe...Blue Oyster Cult. The most classic songs are in this album, "Eat The Rich", the title track and the famous ballad "Screaming in the Night", and the less known "Russian Winter" is my favourite, The God Rob Halford sings in "Ready To Burn". The shame is that subsequents releases would be lame commercial products attempting to appeal the american market.

From: juan carlos Date: August 7, 2006 at 22:27

From: Metal T Date: August 20, 2006 at 7:32
10/10 Great Album ! This thing is 23 years old and still cranks .Any little punk out there just now discovering metal/hard rock for the first time ??? Cut your teeth on this bad boy !!

From: underworld king Date: January 19, 2009 at 5:43
My introduction to Krokus back in 1983. Still my favorite with One Vice running a close second and Metal Rendez-vous in third place. A classic band that still rocks today.

From: rockhardrock Date: February 2, 2011 at 15:28
call it hard rock or heavy metal, Krokus made at least one great album-this one. my faves: headhunter, eat the rich, stayed awake all night and screaming in the night. probably their best record.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 5, 2013 at 18:41
"Screaming In The Night" was the hit single of this album...the eternal comparison of Marc Storace with Brian Johnson or Bon Scott(r.i.p)has been always like the "issue" of this Swiss act as well as with the AC/DC music...personally talking the band has its own guts and they deliver great hard rocking tracks in their own way..."Ready To Burn" & "Night Wolf" are 2 other great songs but the whole album stands proud & strong itself to be honest...enjoyable...85/100

From: MetalPete1031 Date: February 28, 2014 at 16:30
Well it's 2014 now. I never tire of this album. It would be in my top ten on a desert island, right alongside such greats as 'Blackout', 'Heaven and Hell', 'British Steel'...truly their shining moment.

From: hair metal again Date: March 31, 2022 at 7:46
excellent release for KROKUS back in 83 with the valuable help of Tom Allom hitting a fine hard heavy sound with big songs as well like "eat the rich","screaming in the night","stand and be counted" and "headhunter"!classic 80s metal
