Despite superior production, this album is inferior to "Lookin' for Action," because the hooklines aren't as strong and the absence of Jeff Scott Soto is felt in the vocal department. But if you're a melodic metal fan and pick this one up, you won't feel like you got screwed. Then again, it's very doubtful you'll stay up all night playing it over and over again either...

Anyone care to elaborate on who all the vocalists were?

From: RhythmSlave01 Date: January 5, 2005 at 18:04
According to a website I just found lead vocals are performed by ... tracks 1, 5, & 7 - Dennis St. James ... tracks 2 & 4 - Chris Kory ... tracks 8, 9, 11 - Jack James ... Kal Swan & Jerry Best backing vocals on tracks 8 & 11. Also involved are - Eric Singer, Paul Stanley, David Spits, Billy Sheehan, & Tak Matsumoto. Check out www.kiss-related-recordings.nl/kuni_fuckedup.html for more information.

Dennis st. james did vocals on The skull (no bones about it). Jack James made a westcoast/pop record, released in 1996 (Windy City Records) and called "Moment of truth".

This one is pretty good. I probably actually prefer it to 'Lookin' for action'. This Chris Kory chap sounds a lot like Cold Sweat's awesome Rory Cathey. Love his vocals, wish he'd done the whole disc. The songs are pretty much all hear-it-all-before type hard rockers, and a nice ballad to finish it off. It's all good stuff, musically and the songs are solid. No real fillers, pretty consistent. I'd have liked it a bit more spectacular, but it's a good solid hard rock disc.

Good Melodic Hard Rocker. All the vocalists here are great and pretty much every song is good. I'm interested in hearing more from Jack James. Looks like I'll have to do a little searching...

Anything I can find with Dennis St James singing on it is something I will never hesitate to buy, he is one of the most unique and underated vocalist in history, and he does a killer job on this disc, the 2 songs he does stand heads above the other songs on this disc, I wish he would put a band together and do something new, I really don't understand why he has never put his voice all over metal albums thru the last 20 years? it's a damn shame, oh well heres 2 more songs with him on them, enjoy them.
