The HPM (Heys per minute) on 'Snakebite' beats Y&T's 'Contagious'! And true-to-late-80s-overblown-form, the production of those gang backups is HUGE! This excellent release is like Y&T sittin around having a weenie roast... naw, make that a Bonfire! 'Fireworks' meets 'Contagious'. |

Excellent disc from start to finish!Allan Keen's vocals kinda remind me of Fastway's Dave King, and the overall sound here is a mixture of just about any of the 'hair' bands you can name.'Snakebite' and 'Dance the Metal' are my favorite rockers here, and the power ballad 'Standing in the Storm' could've just as easily been done by Poison or Warrant, and would have been HUGE had it been! The bonus track 'Hot Love' is pretty good;hell, Vice's version of 'Proud Mary' is actually pretty cool too!GREAT! |

They remind me of Shark Island a bit too. Very good album. I'll have to buy the other one. For some reason I kept putting off buying their discs. Tunes from both of their discs were used in some horror movie I rented and from then on I knew they rocked. Forgot the name of the movie but remember that Vice rocked. I heard the tunes and knew it was an 80s band. Modern music just doesn't have this kind of firepower. |

OMG!!!! Just got this and I have to say WOW on 'Standing In The Storm'!!! HUGE harmonies!!! LOVE this song!! Really like 'It Only Takes A Minute'......and the beginning of 'Proud Mary' again!! LOL! LOVE 'Shakedown' too!! Hell....like Whiplash1972 says...excellent disc from start to finish!! |

I liked them all, but 'Shakedown' is probably my favorite. |

What an amazing reception for this disc! I personally like it - not as much as everyone else here, and it reminds me of V2. Solid hard rock with some great, hard hitting tracks. Good stuff, but not spectacular for me. I do like the crisp metallic edge though. |

Killer flawless second release from the boyz of Vice. They are from Germany but they have the party melodic Hard Rock sound of the glory daze of LA in the 80's right on. Wow,I was blown away and this is just as awesome as their 1st CD (see my thoughts). The killer Snakebite, Stand By Me,Standin in the Storm, Shakedown,Living On The Radio. The singing, harmonies, the excellent gang style backing vocals on the choruses, pumping bass/drums and razor sharp guitars.A must in your collection. Rated 9/10. |

'It only takes a minute', 'Dance the metal', 'But we like it' and 'Shakedown' are my faves here. The promo video was 'Snakebite'. Good, solid disc. |

VERY GOOD CD 89/100 EURO PARTY METAL at it's best with a brand new singer, this album keep the tradition of the Huge chorus with gang backing vocals but with a more organic sound! like WET PAINT/BOYSVOICE/TREAT/SIC VIKKI/EMERGENCY/BIG RAT |

Ummm..nothing 2 do with their great "Made For Pleasure" release honestly...neither solid nor enthusiastic like the aforementioned one...ok it has some good moments but just that..."Snakebite" ,"It Only Take A Minute" highlight,"But We Like It" ...the best tracks for me were "Shakedown","Living On A Radio" & the bonus track "Hot Love"...give it a try anyway...a matter of taste,i guess...81/100 |

Roland Schmidt replaced Fritz Randow on drums here as well as Allan Keen (WET PAINT) replacing Jan Ghiantinie as their new vocalist with the remaining lineup intact (Jorg, Christian, & Peter) with Christian & Peter later teaming up with Allan on WET PAINT's 1995 LP. Allan brought to the table influences of Stevie Rachelle, Jack Russell, & possibly Dave King (as mentioned above)with a fairly satisfactory result. Both of their recordings were solid in their own right. VICE formed out of Munchen, Bayern, Bavaria, Germany (not to be confused with the other Metal act that was from Dramstadt, Hesse) & would split up shortly after this recording. I could've personally done without the CCR cover though. |
