| Really they are okay. They have a Cheezboy meets the Cult type of sound except not as good IMHO.

| Yuck is about right. Well it's ok as TIm says, but it does very little to kick anyone's ass. Johnny Bore would be a better name for them.

| I really like this disc. Frankly I'm kind of surprised by all of the negative comments. I guess if you're a hardcore glam fan, then this probably isn't up your alley. But if you like The Rolling Stones (actually Keith and Ronnie's solo stuff is a closer comparison), The Black Crowes, Izzy Stradlin, and The Quireboys, check this out. Be sure to listen all the way through-- the last two tracks are best.

| Laid back with blues and country influences that give it a sourthern feel. Decent songs but the vocals let them down a bit. They sound much more comfortable when they let loose but most of the songs are mid-tempo. A reasonable album. 6.5/10

| A fun first album from an Austin band who had a huge live following, then got picked up by a major record label that didn't promote them. Track #5 was their radio single, track #1 is weak and misleading--bad move by the record co. People think they're metal because of 'Metal Blade Records' and the long hair, but they're more Stones-Elvis Costello-Texas blues. If you want hardcore hairwhipping, this isn't it. As to 'Where Are they Now?'--all still in Austin, just with different projects.

Come on... These guys rocked. Spawned from V8 powered, tire burnin', 4 finger lid, made in the U.S.A party rock. I guess it's an age thing. Probably not enough 'bling-bling'. This disc is plug it in, have a party fun. Austinite is right. They're not glam. Maybe clubs is where they should stay. Bringin' fun to the power drinkin' masses. Hell, most of rocks best days were spilled on smoke filled clubs with beer stained wood floors. Something Britney or Justin wouldn't understand....

| Not an album to put on if you actually want to enjoy what you're listening to... no, my apologies. This really isn't my cup of tea but I can't be too harsh. To me there was not a trace of a hook on this CD, no melodies, average bored playing... no, as far as I could see this had nothing going for it at all. Reminds me of Law and Order.

Ok guys do not expect somethin' out of this planet with this album...a pretty simple release and a band that in my case i consider it an average one but with some highlights here and there...references could easily be The Quireboys and some Dogs D'amour but less attractive than the aforementioned ones  ...the "highlights" are IMHO "Pieces Of The Bottle" that rocks good,"Promises"  ,"Remember The Night" & "Think About It"...faves?...yes...a couple of them "If Ya Wanna" & "We All Get Old"...up to you guys...82/100

| pretty good release by JOHNNY LAW but not as good as expected!the band has a nice sound,vibe and looks but the songs arent catchy enuff and they dont seem to deliver!on the other hand this is a grower and every hard rock fan will appreciate the sound and the musicianship!if ya find it cheap is ok i guess

| It is almost as though some of the reviewers above wanted to dislike this release. They have obviously only listened to it once to so hastily dismiss this hidden gem. To me the sound is like a more heavy Black Crowes. So, if you don't like Black Crowes you probably won't like Johnny Law. I'm a Southern Rock fan, and to have a mix of their sound with the 80s hard rock makes me a happy chappy. Too Weak to Fight and Remember the Night are probably the best tracks, though there aren't any weak tunes as such. Grade B southern fried rawk.
