Well, this album sure has that Skagarack sound characterized by Torbens memorable vocals but....Yes, what can I say...It just ain't Skagarack without the original line-up...Sure there are strong tracks here but the guitars seem a bit more "loose" and experimental than their earlier releases...Big Time lacks identity if you ask me...But tracks like: "Ain't U got a mother", "Hold on just one more time" and "Big Time" are surely worth it all. I'd give this album 8,5 out of 10...

Just listened to the album again...I forget to mention what a great song "I want you" is...This song rocks my world!!!

Have the guys lost their common sence???

From: TIM (2) Date: July 12, 2004 at 5:22
Some pretty negative reviews abound when this was released, which is very harsh as this is still a great album. A slightly heavier sound, but still plenty of keys and huge choruses make this essential for every Scandi melodic rock lover. "It's Never Too Late" has a stunning chorus, "Hold On Just One More Time" is an killer AOR, and "Edge of Illusion" is a little more bluesy sounding but come chorus time you won't care. 8.5/10.

This is the most inconsistent and weakest Skagarak CD BUT, it actually contains most my fave Skagarak songs. 'Aint you got a mother' is a ripper of melodic hard rock,'It's never too late' is awesome commercial hard rock,'Somebody like me' is my fave Skagarak song and a gem of a melodic tune, but 'Hold on just one more time' give that a hell of a good run for it's money. 4 killer tracks, but a lot of filler. To be honest, the excellent 4 are enough for me to make it a good album.

Skagarack and Great King Rat. Best Scandi bands ever. Period

From: Erik Date: March 23, 2005 at 11:36
Yeah i have to agree with Erik here ( man has this guy good taste ;p ). But i would like to add Dalton and RAW also.

From: TIM (2) Date: March 23, 2005 at 14:48
Completely agree with Erik. If he swapped RAW for Jim Jidhed or West of Sunset then I would agree with him even more.

From: Erik Date: March 24, 2005 at 3:50
Tim lets just add West of Sunset to the list !

From: Erik Date: April 26, 2005 at 9:09
Finally got my greasy hands on this one. And yep Geoff and Tim hit the nail here. No matter what some people but its just a good solid release. Few fillers but also some real gems like Its never 2 late, Aint you got a mother, Somebody like you , I want you and maybe one of my all time favorite Skagarack songs Hold one just one more time ( what a fu..ing brilliant sing a long song !).

Even though the different line up is present, the songwriting qualities are still there for me and as Erik suggests, there may be a couple of their best ever songs on here in 'Hold On Just One More Time' & 'It's Never Too Late'. Great album indeed and I play this one as often as the other three.

Mixed comments above but basically i agree with the good ones...pleasant album rather than solid one is my opinion about it...Torben's vocals as good as usual and that is or was the trademark of the band..."It's Never Too Late"(catchy),"Somebody Like Me"(nice AOR),"I Want You","Hold On Just One More Time"(catchy),"Wonder If You Really Know"(beautiful ballad)& "This Time Of the Year"(2012 B/T edition)are my faves in here...88/100

From: Locoaor Date: November 24, 2016 at 20:45
Increible leer tantas tonterias calificando a este grandioso disco como inconsistente, sin duda un discazo de AOR!

From: Harald Date: January 2, 2018 at 20:08
Funny nobody mentioned the best track on the CD as yet: Track 5. "Hold You, Love You, Give You" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlRkc3gH1Gg
