The digipak re-issue is very nice and there are some great songs on this album. The problem I find with this cd is repetition. Too many songs just go through the motions and repeat the freaking chorus way too many times! But I don't want to be overly critical because I do like this album. Find it cheap if you can and stay away from the rediculous price some vendors still want for the original!!

why wasn't there more demos released, there's i think 2 more demos from the original aidean demos cassette that didn't make it to the reissue, i think i hard that aidean have enough songs for another album so i hope that will be released and with the missing demo songs, i'd love tosee an aidean anthology of demos andlive and uneleased completed tracks, i love the band ! from australia melodicrockoz@yahoo.com

The songs are well produced, catchy and full to the brim with both guitar crunch and keyboard blasts. Coming at you from the Bonfire and Pretty Maids school of riffs, they are the typical European melodic rock band, with a big sound and a heavy handed approach.

this could have been close to a 10, but the singer is pulling them back to a 5. he has such a nasal sound to his voice.....otherwise musically they are good...get a new singer and these guys will be amongst the major league bands.

I must say I'm a little surprised at the comments here. Although a huge fan of melodic hard rock, I HATE keyboards used in large doses. This CD is full of keyboards, but I still love it! It's such a great CD. As I say, there are a little too many keyboards for my normal liking, but the songs are just so great, very catchy with massive hooks! Excellent CD and highly recommended!

Very surprising comments indeed. A great CD,in-your-face 80s AOR with keys like Tobruk,Aviator.

Now I say it in English: this was a fantastic album full of magic and strange atmospheres, from the great "Promises", cutting into "Children of the Night" (timeless song) and ending with "Do you Call Again". The singer reminds me to Heavy Pettin´s singer a lot, because he´s got some good vocal hooks that prints through each piece some mysterious magical touch that surrounds the music as well as the great keyboard work executed. The great drawback is the horrible production and the drums.

Very good CD, the choruses are absolutely great, but man, did these guys love keyboards! You can barely hear other instruments with all these keys going on. Still a solid, very melodic release. Production is a bit dated though.

Me parece un gran albúm lleno de teclados y ganchos guitarreros maravillosos,la voz del cantante se parece al cantante de HEAVY PETTIN´,los temas son impactantes desde la 1era escuchada como un golpe justo entre tus ojos,Promises,Rocks you up,Children of the night,Diana,Do you call Again, todas de gran calidad y esa power ballad Feel in love Again(grandiosa!),los demos Nighttime buena tambien, grandioso album,la producción? dicen los expertos es mala, creo que habiendo calidad el resto no importa.

Euro melodic metal laced with sharp keyboards, strong guitars, and passionate vocals. Contains elements of SKAGARACK, TREAT, PAGANINI and WINTER'S REIGN. An absolute must have for every CD collection. And, Geoff.....I'm just the opposite. Those keyboards pull my chain and drag me off to music "wonderland"!!!!

Pretty good album!.....the band only recorded this album and what a shame 'cause it was a good act......the album starts with a good solid track "Promises","Tokyo" is a high peak in here,"Rocks You Up" apart from rock you it has a catchy chorus and definetely a highlight,"Fell In Love Again" is a strong ballad,"Livin' Lovin'Losin'" is AOR,"Children Of The Night" seems 2 be their "song",quite good indeed.."Diana" & "Do You call Again" are both faves,"Aidean Medley" is a crazy song, quite a filler honestly..about the bonus tracks "Night Time" is just a demo song and the other just remixes, acceptable but really fillers, that could be the low peak in here...Steve Lydakis' voice is like a mix of Hamie(Heavy Pettin),Michael Flexig(Zeno) and Bernie Kolbe (ex Domain)...buy and find out by yourselves dudes!.88/100

Rick Kerch Vzla, the band did record an earlier release titled "Rocks You Up" in 1987. One of the most obscure titles around that most collectors have no clue about. I agree with most of your other comments on this album. It is definitely Euro melodic metal laced with sharp keyboards, strong guitars, and passionate vocals. I hear elements of SKAGARACK, TREAT, PAGANINI and WINTER'S REIGN in their sound.

Hi guys, of course "Rocks You Up" is a pretty good EP (5 tracks) "Moments Of A Heartbeat, Bullet In The Bone, Promises(with a different style)" are Great MHR/Style songs, not my kind of singers(voice) but the style is Super, i have another Unreleased/Demos with great songs & 1 rare video concert of them, we love this kind of style!

I've got the 2000 remastered, re-issue, in digipak, with the 3 bonus tracks. Don't know how the original sounded but this is pretty nice. If you like lots of keys it may be what you are looking for.

excellent release by AIDEAN in the late 80s when the explosion of the hair metal movement was on!their sound is well balanced between guitars and keys and their strong point are the passionate vocals of Steve Lydakis and the catchy songs they wrote !all the songs are great and especially "fell in love again","livin lovin losin","do you call again" and "children of the night"!i suggest you buy immediately that great slice of German hard rock music!
