And finally they crumble. To be honest, this is a pathetic album. 'It's my life' is prime BJ and 'Just older' survives some awful lyrics to be a pretty cool song, but the album highlight for me is the ultra-lite 'She's a mystery'. What a beautiful, atmospheric gem. 'Say it isn't so' has moments, as does 'Two story town' and even 'Save the world', but they're still bad tracks. For me there are only 3 good songs and the rest is very poor. Disappointing. Sad to see too.

disco es una basura

From: mauricio Date: April 5, 2005 at 13:38
hi-from costarica-y coincido con ermo este disco es una gran basura muy lamentable muy pobre en todos los sentidos el ver como jon se va vendiendo a la comercialidad y dandonos solo lo que ultimamente nos da solo porquerias y como si fuera poco tiene al productor de los backstreet boys-que asco tiene canciones muy tontas como ist my life que dice this is a song for a broken hearted yo le cambiaria por this is a song for a gillipollas-con these days este grupo se ha venido abajo -son unos

From: mauricio Date: April 5, 2005 at 13:42

Serviceable, meaning it's not a completely utter waste of time, but certainly a long, long way from their hard rockin' glory days, despite the presence of the excellent hit single 'It's My Life' which heated up the charts. There are a handful of other tracks to put a smile on BON JOVI fans' faces, but overall, the album is a little on the lackluster side. Not a crushing disappointment, but a disappointment nonetheless...

This was a change but I really enjoyed this album. It's not great but I give every BJ album about 100 listens so I know it well. Highlights for me are It's My Life, Just Older, One Wild Night making up the three great songs, Captain Crash, Thank You For Loving Me, and Mystery Train making up the above average stuff, and Next 100 Years is an average song with an OUTSTANDING solo! I listen to that one for just the guitar work. The rest of the tracks fall flat and the bonus tracks are crap. 6/10

este disco apesta

From: wzcj02 Date: May 22, 2006 at 15:37
I'm glad to see a low rating for this because most of this is a total pile of steamy number 2's. One wild night is OK and it's my life is good but the rest is very poor. This is the worst Album Bon Jovi ever released.

From: rockers2000 Date: November 19, 2006 at 5:17
I was a Bon Jovi fan. I waited for 5 years for their new album since These Days. I was so thrilled the day 'Crush' was released. But, when I heard the 1st song, 'It's My Life', I was wondering 'Is this Bon Jovi?' It sounded like some Westlife trying to sing rock songs. I still can't believe they wrote 'Thank You For Loving Me'. A total sell-out. I only like 'Just Older', the rest... sigh....

I really had hopes when I heard this great band was coming back after a five year hiatus, but I have to say I was more than just a little disapointed with this one. Not only is this one short on the usual BJ gems, but the in between stuff is really lackluster this time. Mind you, there are still some top notch songs here, but this is not at all what this incredible band is capable of delivering and that's just sad. Good, but somewhat of a let down.

From: walesforever Date: April 2, 2007 at 16:48
Album sucks. Only reason that BJ are where they are is because of It's My Life. If they hadn't released this then they would just be another band. It's not even a very good song, it's a rip off of Livin' On A Prayer and he uses the same song format on the next albums after this Bounce and Have A Nice Day, the two totle songs are clones of It's My Life

After 'Keep The Faith', this was the last Bon Jovi album that I picked up. I heard 'It's My Life' on the radio and had high hopes for this one. Once I got the album, I was let down. I haven't picked up anything by them since.

INFAME. Valen la pena aqui solo 'Say It Isnīt So' y quizá la lenta 'Thank You For Loving Me'

It's better then These Days, but still not that great.

Warning : If yourīre looking for somethig similar to what Bon Jovi has done in the 80s, stay away from this one! The reason why is that most of the "Crush" songs were originally recorded for a Jon Bon Joviīs solo album that was to be called "Sex Sells". So, most of the songs in this recrod have the "Destination Anywhere" feel. So donīt expect a hard rock/AOR album but a pop rock album instead. Still, it has some interesting rocking tunes like "Itīs My Life" (the best song), "Just Older", "Two Story Town" , "One Wild Night" and the Japanese bonus track "Neurotica".

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 16, 2009 at 0:07
One of the lowest pick in Bon Jovi's career...shamely...only 3 songs are saved from burning (at least 4 me)"It's My Life" (first single with quite an stupid video),"Say It Isn't So" and the ballad "Thank You For Loving Me".The rest of the songs are simple and nothing out of this World.75/100

From: hair metal again Date: July 15, 2011 at 4:46
not so bad as stated above,CRUSH has its moments and after some spins you realize the quality of this band.i just would like to include more songs like "i could make a livin out of lovin you",or moments like the solo of "next 100 years".and furthermore i d prefer their 80 s sound but this one aint bad!

From: JOVIAOR Date: July 18, 2011 at 16:16
Yes this Bon Jovi's least good album but when u compare it with anything else out there these days it really isn't so bad! It's My Life (is the best track made after 1999, the hook this one got is HUGE!) One Wild Night (ROCKS your SOCKS OFF!) Just Older (Bloody fantastic!)Thank U 4 Loving Me (Amazing ballad!) Save The World (Great pop-anthem!) and the bonus track Neurotica is so damn good and rocks big time! Don't forget Say It isn't so, Two Story Town or 100 next Years very good songs indeed!!!

From: HEAVY PARADISE Date: August 25, 2012 at 11:36
This is a good album with a copuple of excellent tracks in it!!!!!!!! Yes, "One Wild Night", "Just Older" & "It's My Life" are all three brilliant Jovi tunes with attitude and choruses to die for. Ofcourse there are some average moments but that don't bother me at all.
