One of the best cover cd's i've heard. They do a great job playing together and every member sings on his own respective track. Ace does an ok job on The Foxy Lady guitar solo, but Hendrix was alot better. Standout Tracks are Free Ride, Goin' Blind, Foxy Lady, and Won't Get Fooled Again. Track 12 is by far the best on the cd though |

Good cd of cover tunes. Each person picked a few tunes to record that inspired them to become musicians. I also agree that Won't Get Fooled Again is the best track on this cd. |

Picked this one up for 4 bucks offa Half.com, and I definitely got my money's worth. If you wanna hear some rockin' versions of classic tunes, this is the CD for you. My personal faves are "Free Ride", "Set Me Free", and "Won't Get Fooled Again". John, Eric, and Karl all sing on here, and I was pleased with each of their efforts.------------------------------------------------------------------------ As a side note here, anyone else really dig Heathen's version of "Set Me Free"? |

I can't really visualize much in my head at the moment, but I saw the video about 3 weeks back on VH1 Classic's Metal Mania show.Classic song made even better by Heathen! Saxon has a version of it as well. |

A fair album of cover songs, but with all that talent it would have been great to have some originals. The band really do a good job on this though. I also prefer the Heathen version of "Set Me Free". Even more so than the original Sweet version. Let's not forget that Vince Neil also recorded a version on his "Exposed" cd. |

The Heathen version of "Set Me Free" hasn't been beat yet-on their album after that they do a kickass version of Rainbow's "Kill the King" which also smokes. On a side note who wrote the tune "Four Day Creep"? Usually the original band who wrote the tune is listed in parentheses but that isn't the case on this one. I have yet to hear this whole disc but what I've heard was pretty damn cool. |

BTW-Who plays bass on this? |
From: Marla | Date: June 30, 2004 at 22:58 |
Hey Dean.....according to the liner notes, looks like John, Karl and Bruce took turns on bass. Karl on track 1, John on 2, 3, 6, & 8, and Bruce on 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10. |

Man.....did I ever screw that up!!! Sorry......that should be Karl on track 1. John: 2,3,5,7,9,10. And Bruce: 4,6,8,11,12. |
