Check out the opener 'Runnin' Back', the hi-tech pop of 'Say Goodbye' (probably the best track Loverboy have never done!),the title track 'Cast The First Stone' and the pulsating pomp that is 'Love Him Or Leave Him'. Other worthwhile mentions include the tearjerker ballad 'Only You',the other ballad ain't that bad either 'Love Can Make You Cry' which has some luscious keyboards, and the upbeat 'Is This Paradise' sounding like something The Works/Wall Of Silence would have been comfortable doing. |

Great stuff, only weaker than the second CD as the production isn't as full sounding. Is around on eBay and not at the extortionate prices you may pay for the second CD, so snap it up. |

GORGEOUS!!! AMAZING!!!! MARVELOUS!!!! ATM re-issue 2001, AOR gem with enormous choruses, awsome keys, great production. Highly recomended for all truly mid-80 AOR lovers. ...and for those who did'n like it: could you explain us WHYYYY??????? ESSENTIAL MASTERPIECE PERIOD. |

This is an okay release. 'Running Back' is by far the best track (on here twice) but sounds much better on the follow up due to a stronger production. My complaint of this album is the sound it is too thin and see through and ultimately lacks Balls. The Keyboards are very prominant but are too 80's sounding bringing t mind casio keyboards. The songs are good though. My advice, buy the follow up. |

I OWN A RE-EDITION OF THIS AOR MASTERPIECE, "RUNNING BACK", "CAST THE FIRST STONE" ARE GENIUS, THE BALLAD "LOVE CAN MAKE YOU CRY" ARE GREAT, AS "ONLY YOU" 2. LONG LIVE URGENT AND AOR 2. |

Well... a fantastic album...another one that got undusted and have a new spin..."Running Back" is nowadays an AOR classic track and IMHO the one that represents the band in its all career ...then we have a series of catchy tunes such as "Cast The First Stone","Pay Up","Love Him Or Leave Him","Dedicated To Love" & "Tell The Boys,No"..."Running Back #2" is not as good as the one that is...kinda of a filler but still enjoyable...91/100 |

Just heard the song Running Back and it's a bit of classic. I'll have to search for the album. |

Perfect driving Pomp/AOR release, layers of keyboards, great choruses. No weak spot on this album. I have got an expensive Japan Release but meanwhile you get the re-release for a reasonable price. Only superb tracks - the title track is my favourite. Buy and enjoy! |

Great album, bought second follow up before this one. The second one refines the sound a bit more in the hi-tech realm. "Pay Up" is a great track on this album 80/100. |

very good debut for URGENT in the mid 80s capturing the spirit and the sound of that era with big keys and catchy choruses !Cast The First Stone is an album that flows fine but i cant find any big songs that could push things further for the band!"so this is paradise" and "say goodbye " are the highlights |
