This album has moments but I thought it was overrated. None of the songs really stood out. I've listened to it 3 times and it hasn't gotten any better. Some folks claim this is one of the best albums ever. They say it sounds like D2's debut. In ways it does but I don't like it as well. Has someone else heard this?

I saw these guys years ago in Iowa--they played covers--but they plyed ghost town park and that was eveyone's fav---I wondered what happened to these guys!!??

What, couldn't they get Brent Estlund to shuck his last name and throw in with them? "Come on, man, we'll be just like the Ramones!" "Ah, no thanks ..." Anyway, littering's only a misdemeanor, and this album sounds pretty harmless as well.

Johnny RnR, I've always wondered what good drinking music is, does it mean you have to be drunk to like it???

David, yes you had to be drunk to like this band, and being underage at the time, it wasn't easy! Luckily I made friends with certain bartenders!

Wow! Talk about a flashback! I used to play these guys on radio station KRIT ("Super 97") in Fort Dodge, IA. Back in 1987, when they were huge locally. Saw them at several area bars & always a great show. Interviewed Steve Litterer on-the-air once. Damn nice guy who loved to play his music. Glad to know they're still around after all these years! Wow! Just the name brings back allot of thoughts. Had some friends that opened up for them in the early 90's in SW Minnesota. Lots of roadtrips to see them. Met Dave Ellefson from Megadeath at on of their shows at the Sioux Valley Log Cabin. To much drinking and good times.

Wonder if the band ever reads these! I used to "follow" Litterer, too!Dave was my bud! I enjoyed them when you could dance to the music. The last time I saw them was at the Surf Ballroom; more like a concert than a dance. Haven't heard Romancing the Night, but own the other one. Fave song,"Never Give Up", isn't on either! :-( Last I heard, they were still playing some, but Dave wasn't with them anymore. Still have the music shop in Charles City to the best of my knowledge.Terri (Mark's friend)

Anyone remeber the ShowBoat? We did the road trippin thing as much as we could to see this band. Fox Lake, Lynd, Gibbon, Charles City, Hatfield. They were great people and always treated us so well. you're right bout the concert vs dance thing. Standing in the front row was the best. Good times! Some of my favorite memories are of this great group of people. I would love love love to see a reuinion concert too.

Oh my GOD - this is so cool to read - these people were my buds - road-tripped all over to see them - Showboat, Hatfield, Lynd, The Blitz, down to Charles City for their annual 4th of July bash - those were the days. Still talk to Steve and his wife occasionally. Would LOVE it if they did a reunion show?

saw them many times at the surf, bancroft ballroom, duncan dance hall, fox lake, etc. called steve one night on a whim and left a message on his machine. couldn't believe it when he called me back and talked to me for over an hour. the guy (and the whole band) has class. i used to get him bacardi cokes and hide behind the speakers and hold it around the corner. as soon as he saw it he'd drink it thru the straw and knew that i was there. great times. i'd love to see them again!

These guys seem to suffer from a bit of an identity crisis musically at times, but overall I enjoyed this compilation. They have a strong Night Ranger vibe going on and the songs that are immediately similar to that classic outfit are both enjoyable and memorable. Also tends to fluxuate between rare and not so rare, so don't pay too much if prices go up on-line. They seem to always come down again. Good cd. 7/10.

We used to follow them around southwest MN during high school - Valhalla, Fox Lake, Showboat Ballroom. I acted as a roadie for them after they played our homecoming dance (senior year '88). My biggest problem - I can't find anywhere to buy a CD under $50 (and that's in Germany). Can anyone hook me up?

I started out going to watch the shows in 1986. In 1988 I joined the band part time as a crew member and training to take over the lighting area. In 1989 I joined the crew after Bruce Litterer quit I took over full time lighting.

I have been looking for a long time for the 1995 compilation album and finally found a very nice person in Iowa who gave it to me, FREE! What an awesome Christmas present. Nice to be able to relive the "Litterer Days" again in digital sound. It is indeed too bad that they never got a major major record deal and the MTV video too. Music like this should be produced today. Litterer was ahead of its time and had it not been for being from Iowa would have gone some place IMO. ROCK ON!!!

Súper-Recomendable. 9.5/10

Did any one watch the Bill Engvall show on July 31. It was the "how I met your mother episode" and in the background you could totally see a poster of the Litterer Band from "Rock This City". On a different wall was the poster from She's "So Dangerous". Awesome flashback. Wish they would've played some of their music instead of "Wham".

I just grabbed a copy at the 2nd hands today by knowing nothing about the band but the cover looks great and it makes me buy as it was only less $4.Seems they were very good looking guys but why they were not appeared on the cover on this 2nd album? That's wasteful.I really love to buy unknown bands only by seeing both the cover and song titles and sometimes it makes sence.

I also saw the Bill Engvall Show when they had the two Litterer posters on the wall of Bill's apartment. I had to pause my tivo and go into my game room where I have my Litterer poster (autographed by the entire band). I have the white one. I used to go see these guys in Tyndall SD at Groveland Park. We also would roadtrip to the Skylon Ballroom in Hartington NE and I made a couple of trips to the Fox Lake Ballroom. I still have my cassette tapes, but would love to get the CDs. Hard to find. Contacted Catamount Records once to see about a re-issue, but no luck. Spent a lot of time in the front row, these guys are the kind of band that took the time to get to know their fans. They always remembered me when they saw me head banging in the front row. Sure do miss them.
