I figured you might have submitted this David. I'll have to try it out. |

Who do they sound like David? |
From: David | Date: August 18, 2002 at 22:18 |
Yeh TIM is put this one on the site. It's sounds like your typical hard rock band from the late eighties. I found this cd for $1 in Australia in a second hand record store and the only reason I bought it was because one of the guys in the band was wearing a Skid Row t-shirt and it paid off. |

Hook line and Stinker more like it. Sorry guys but this aint much at all. They also have a full length album after this. Very ordinary Adelaide band. |

This release ain't the best the band were capable of, but it's pretty good for an indie. Kickstart were indeed a great band back in the day. I still have their very first 2 track cassette demo and it kicks ass. They were a great live band too, and I saw them many times. The lead guitarist, Greg, was an awesome player too. |

Great indie adelaide band in my opinion. Not over the top... just great solid aor / rock. |

I had this ages ago! Haven't seen it since as it might have been a good one to trade out of Australia, but I must admit I don't think it's that grand either. Solid hard rock, but nothing mind blowing. 'Talk to you' was a nice track, but overall it's pretty run-of-the-mill hard rock IMO. |
From: mr.aor | Date: January 24, 2005 at 23:57 |
'talk to you' is definetely the highlight in this great package. IMO, a geat album, although their third release 'your life for today' rocks a lot more than this one. I'd give it an 7 or 8 /10. |

Kickstart is an average Hard Rock band. Nothing to write home about but there are a couple of good tracks, being Talk To You and Open Your Eyes. At best I give this CD 5/10. |

I consider these guys to be more metal but melodic. You can still find this CD around Adelaide in some second hand shops, i see it now and then. Good CD but the follow up is better. With some of the crap bands that made it in the late 80's, early 90's, these guys could have made it if they were just 5 years earlier. That's a big statement but i believe they had the quality songwriting required. Check out "guilty" or "no longer home". |
