I think that Nazareth is a great band! I don't think they are a classic rock band but more of a classic southern rock band. You can really hear it on this CD like so many of their albums. Listen to the song "No Mean City." It sounds like Axl Rose singing after smoking about 33 cigarettes in a row. My all time favorite Nazareth album is Rampant. If you can find it, get it! It's the best way to start your Nazareth collection. This is a great band from Scottland!!

They took their name from the opening line of Robbie Robertson's classic song "The Weight." ("I just pulled into Nazareth, was feelin' 'bout half past dead...") Before they were Nazareth they called themselves Shadowettes and then The Mark V and then The Red Hawks. Just a little tid-bit for ya.

From "Razamanaz" on, Nazareth rock. All of their albums are worth getting, but my favorite is "2XS".

Nazareth were lost by this point in their career. Not that this is bad stuff, it just didn't have the balls their first 5 lp's had. "Nazareth", "Exercise", "Razamanaz", "Loud & Proud", & "Hair of the Dog" are full of that integrity we call "piss 'n' vinegar". I am shocked to see only 2 Nazareth lp's listed.

An average album i mean some of the longs are really good .I wish I had started with one of thier older albums which I beliee are good. This was kind of dissapointing.no great shakes.

Another solid album from these guys & they were crankin' them out one after the other in the 70's. Amazingly, there never was much of a lapse throughout the decade. As a matter of fact, starting from "Razamanaz" through "Malice In Wonderland", the band put together an unheralded string of strong albums. Eventually, as the 80's unraveled, the musical debacle would occur, but certainly not here. Recommended Listening.
