Definitely the last of the "classic" Nugent albums and a great last hurrah before the guy kinda was lost and out of place in the 80's. That album cover just RULES and the riff to "Paralyzed" proved this guy could churn out classic riffs like nothing. the great thing about Ted is how many riffs has he written that are INSTANTLY recognizable even now?? Double digits I'm assuming. And what band in the last 10 years can remotely even hit 2 classic riffs?? Put this guy in the R&R HOF already!! |

A majestic album with a real live studio sound. Paralyzed, Take It or Leave It and State of Shock ROCK!! In alone he produced an excellent ballad of the highest order. A classic!! |

I loved Ted as a kid, still respect what he did. This isn't his best work either, but some great songs here."Paralized" has always been one of my all-time favorite Nugent songs, it's killer!"Alone," and "Satisfied", along w/"Paralized" make this worth the purchase if you love raw, hard rock. Ted was a master at stripped down, straight ahead, raw rock 'n roll. He was a bad man! |

Agreed to " not his best work ", but I also agree that there are some great songs. Ted stripped it down and made it chin groove on the asphalt, all over again. |

Yeah good album by uncle Ted but no too strong IMO...even though it has powerful ones such as "Paralyzed" & "Take It Or Leave It"(both ones my faves in here) plus "Snake Charmer" & "Saddle Sore"...as Tony stated in the first comment probably this one was the countdown to end his classic albums(obviously "Weekend Warrior" could be labeled as "classic" too and is the one that followed this)...as a fan of Ted Nugent myself i just have to...RECOMMEND IT!!!...85/100 |

Listening to this one today, takes me back to high school (showing my age), solid album. Surprisingly, "Alone" is my favorite tune. While I am (and still) a big Derek St. Holmes fan, Charlie Huhn was a great replacement at the time. Saw the Nuge in concert with Charlie and it was a high energy, fun show. |
