This album is ok if you like light AOR but it sure don't rock my world.

From: TIM Date: October 5, 2002 at 13:26
I've never heard of these guys. I'll take your word for it though Kat and avoid it.

From: West Of Sunset Date: December 27, 2002 at 0:05
I introduced this Cd here.I think that West Of Sunset is Better, but this is another superb cd with incredible songs like Time Is All We Need, I Want You, Angel and one of the best songs i've ever heard, a jewel made music called Stay The Night. This one is a bit poppier than West Of Sunset.I have got the original CD and believe me, it is not easy to find CD.Look the Ebay average price. It's a shame that groups like this have not the support they should have.Music business is a shit. 9/10 good 1!

From: peter poland Date: February 6, 2004 at 15:45
Right on West of sunset. It's one of the best westcoast albums i've heard.Westcoast music has no barriers, and these guys from sweden recorded 2 amazing albums (check out WEST OF SUNSET s/t album).Awsome production, amazing keys everywhere. That cd has it's sould. Feel the 80's, westcoast AOR at it's best.

From: Falken 72 Date: February 10, 2004 at 11:07
I agree with the two above me. It´s my favourite right now.

From: Tim Date: April 17, 2004 at 5:33
I ran into two guys at a pub in clapham (london), I was listening to them chatting and deciphered that they were once in a band called "fingerprints", who apparently top the radio play list one year! Not that I'd heard of them so now I'm going to chase down their sound!

From: Adrian Date: December 3, 2004 at 13:31
La verdad me sorprendio mucho este disco. Me hace recordar mucho a KISS en su epoca de "Crazy Nights" o "Asylum". Muy buena banda, otras de esas que no son muy conocidas...pero sorprenden...puntaje....8.50 sobre 10

From: oliver Date: December 25, 2004 at 6:59
call it westcoast, call it lite aor, doesn´t matter. this is an average release. beside the title track only 2 more remarkable songs. the rest is very poppy and average. heard it, forgot it. absolutely not worth, spending 50$ 5,5/10

From: z4roxx Date: December 26, 2004 at 2:13
HEY!!FINGERPRINTS ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!10/10,DOESN T MATTER IS POPPY,AOR EXT...A MASTERPIECE,ONE OF THE BEST RELEASES IN THIS STYLE!!!HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....

From: TIM (2) Date: March 23, 2005 at 16:10
This is one of my all-time fave releases, but need an original copy. Anybody have one and want to sell/trade please send me a PM.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 7, 2005 at 23:51
mmm tal vez esperaba mas por los comentarios de los amigos de habla inglesa, un Wescoast AOR, un album que tiene sus buenos momentos en temas como Time Is All We Need, Stay the Night, On the Run o You're Gonna Be Sorry, album promedio, no para llamarse clasico o para darle un Great. saca tus conclusiones.

From: z4roxx Date: September 25, 2005 at 10:23
Erik,if you listened to this cd I could recommend you another good band who plays this kind of music. They are called Visitors, obiously is not awesome as Fingerprints but I find their music fresh with good ideas and vocals(it’s a Swedish duo). The only cd realized I think it’s”this time the good guys gonna win”,for their previously 2 releases exist only vynil or cassette version, they signed also with producer of Europe…

From: Erik Date: September 25, 2005 at 10:27
Hi z4roxx. No i have not been able to get hold of this one yet. Still searching though

IS THIS SIMILAR TO BRIDGE 2 FAR CD?

From: Michael S Date: March 3, 2006 at 3:25
Both the fingerprints and westofsunset are excellent albums and some of the most overlooked poppy aor/westcoast release and that is a crime cause these guys should been a big name about if it similar to bridge 2 far it got kinda the same vibe but i dont think the b2f cd is a strong as the west of sunset does anyone know what happended to the guys in fingerprints/westofsunset ???

From: SCANDI Date: April 23, 2006 at 8:51
"Stay the night" is probably the most AORish track on here but "Time is all you need", "More than you know" & "Don't you wanna" are other highlights too. While some songs are too 'westcoasic' for me these aforementioned stand out. SWEET keys here. Musically, the range is from AOR to Westcoast & Pop (Some songs remind me on a 'malish' Lisa Nilsson while others sound like funky Tommy Nilsson tunes, than there are some even sound like Zucchero). 7,8/10 (wouldn't spend $50 for it but surely $15)

From: SCANDI Date: April 23, 2006 at 8:55
Ok.. even $20.. So just re-release this, you won't go wrong 8,2/10

From: newscandi Date: July 28, 2006 at 17:26
Ok- I lost my password 'cos I've got a new computer. So I created a new account. Old Scandi's dead--long live newscandi

What I wanted to add: This is by far the better one towards West of Sunset IMO. W.O.S. is not so matured I think. E.g. the title song could've been more magical to be a perfect song. It's too formulaic. THe only song which is outstanding is Song no. 10. Fingerprints, in contrast, is easily in my all time top 10 with the hereon far better titlesong or songs no. 2 & 10. It just is no perfect album 'cos there are songs I absolutely dislike as well: 7..

From: TONI MALLORCA Date: August 6, 2007 at 5:40
bueno!! a la primera escucha no me ha parecido nada especial y de hecho ningun tema sobresale sobre los demas,yo diria que es totalmente prescindible.de todas maneras le voy a dar otra oportunidad!

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: January 7, 2008 at 20:48

From: Zoner Date: July 28, 2008 at 2:43
AOR band? This is Swedish pop and I don't know why they are on the list at Heavy Harmonies. Even Guardian Angels were heavier than Fingerprints.

From: newscandi Date: July 28, 2008 at 17:52
"Stay the night" is pure AOR for me!! In the poppier direction, right, but other "AOR" Bands have the same poppy abroach (e.g. OUTSIDE EDGE's 1st album). About the definition of AOR we can argue (as with almost everything in this world). For me, AOR is keyboards, this typically "mysterious" and cool style of music. Some guitar riffs etc. But it's not as hard as "hard rock".

From: newscandi Date: July 28, 2008 at 17:53
But the definition "Westcoast-Pop-AOR" at the top of this site probably says it all

From: aornufc Date: September 22, 2010 at 8:34
Don't care what category you wanna put them in, this is still a classy album....so there!! :-)

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 27, 2010 at 21:14
Woooowwww!!!..loved it!!!..excellent friendly Pop more than Westcoast/AOR album ...all the tracks could have been major hits easyly...Bjorn Strom way of singing (and i agree with PODEROSO YIRO) is Jon Secada alike(latin american pop singer that used to be backing vocalist for Miami Sound Machine before launching a quite succesful solo career)...the tracks i liked the most were 1(nice),2(catchy),3(killer ballad),4(wonderful),5(extremely catchy and a hit single surely),6(catchy),7(catchy)8(catchy highlight),10(smooth)and the last 3 songs that are sang in their languague and are remakes of 3 tracks sang in english here are curious and interesting at the same time...if u like Kevin Paige or Bricklin kind of stuff then Fingerprints will have a place in your collection .98/100

From: halfordhughes Date: August 12, 2011 at 2:40
very good aor!!!worth a listen!

From: newscandi Date: August 23, 2011 at 14:26
I wonder why this album does not run cheap as all the others do in the word economy crisis. Maybe it's to good. They rather would die than give this away. Ha..Ha.. It's THAT G O O D indeed. Please Universal or post-MTM/NL distribution why just re-release WEST OF SUNSET???

From: desiodom75 Date: November 13, 2014 at 4:20
One of the most precious soft melodic gems ever and so rare and expensive first press album;Anyway, here we're in front of a masterpiece of soft melodic rock flavoured with sophisticated pop/west coast hi tech touches;perfect! Top songs,in my humble personal opinion are "I want you","Time is all we need" and "Stay the night" Essential;92/100.

From: tomdwa Date: April 18, 2020 at 16:02
This is a nice piece of Scandi-melodic aor, full of harmonies and hooks. The opener Time is all we need is a real corker, and appears on the album in a Swedish sung version too :-). I want you highlights the excellent voice of Bjorn Strom, which reminds me a bit of the singer of Idle Cure. I also like the infectuous Where were you last night, and the sheer class of Stay the night.
