Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

A good album this one, if Lite Canadian AOR ala Stan Meissner, Michael Z, Bryan Adams etc is your bag. Mr.Schwartz is probably most famous for penning Pat Benatar's 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot'& 'Special Girl' which also appeared on Meatloaf's 'Blind Before I Stop' album - his own versions of which both appear here. This album comprises the 'Private Life' album in full, + 3 tracks from his '78 debut 'Schwartz' and 4 from 81's 'No Refuge' album. Good, solid stuff & a disc I play fairly regularly |

Eddie Schwartz is one of the most prolific canadian songwriter. This album is a pure lite AOR masterpiece. Songs like 'Don't Come To Me', 'Time Square Heart' or 'I've Had Enough' are highlights. High class level and great musicianship. Strongly recommended. |

Yes this is AOR, but Bryan Adams would have balls of a rhino compared to this. Moreover, Pat Benatar's version of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is killer. This one is not. However, "Feed The Fire" is unquestionably a cool ballad & stuck in my head the first time. So for the most part, if some smooth flowing tunes with some catchy melodies & vocals is your thing, then this could do the trick. |

Just put my 2 cents to the rating (9,5/10). This is a great cd. Gotta love the 80īs feeling the album has. |

Bit of a mixed bag, but all in all, definitely worth getting. First four songs are amazing AOR! |
