A very unimpressive debut. Weak guitars, weak songs, weak production...just an all-around weak melodic hard rock CD. Thankfully, the band moved forward & onward and their more recent offerings have been kickin' melodic metal albums with sizzling guitars, good songs, and great production. SNAKES IN PARADISE may have lacked bite in the beginning, but since then they've grown some fangs...

The albumpicture is wrong : the debutalbum has a woman with a red apple. The green cover is the 2001 compilation.

I've just bought the "yesterday & Today" Best Of-CD (to which this cover belongs). Now I don't know if I should rip up the CD-paper or give the CD back to my store because of all these horrible reviews here. ..Well, I think I will risk an ear..

this was in my top 10 of 1994..can't understand why the above comments are so negative..this is a great cd and i have nothing but good memories when i hear this album.

'Book of my life' is a killer song, and elsewhere, this is very impressive all round. A very classy band, and a great CD.

Got this album back in 1999. Great, simple and satisfying melodic rock. Used this many a winters night. The combination of Sweet Sixteen and Rewrite is pretty amazing. Book of, Fly Away and Somebody to blame are great tunes. I used to swop songs with Tomas Jackobsson on Napster... they were the days. Always had a soft spot for this band.. good times.

For fans of this one I recommend Faith Taboo,a scandi band who plays the same kind of music;ok,there are some fillers but also some very good tracks in the middle especially.The singer is not among the best voices in the genre but it’s ok

Excelente debut de Snakes in paradise con la muy buena voz de Stefan Berggren, si bueno la producción no es de las mejores pero la música que practican es muy contagiante, Hardrock con toques AOR que al menos a mi me agrada.. "fly away" y "night goes on" son buenos temas pero es apartir de "deep in your heart" que los temas me agradan mas. "take me to the river" y "sweet sixteen" son temas en plan acústico de las cuales me quedo con la segunda. Su siguiente album es aún mucho mejor! 8.5/10

Tremenda la Reedición de éste gran debut y gracias a NL Distribution que tambien ha lanzado el de Robert Louden. Lo Mejor aparte de la Remasterización pues los Bonus en total 7 y 4 de su famoso EP que por fin sale a la luz. "Love Got Wings" vaya temazooo! El bonus Japonés "How Can You Say" en plan Power ballad muy buena y la adición de una guitarra mas al tema 15 de la reedición("Book of My Life") no dice mucho. "Heart In Flame" "Play With Fire" son 2 versiones diferentes del "Somebody to Blame"

I love all from this band. They mix old whitesnake (bluesy) wiht aor. Great melody and great voice, I miss this band now.

The best songs of the album "Fly Away", "Deep in Your Heart", "Book of My Life", "No Easy Way Out". An album regularly good.
