EXCELENTE Hard-AOR.Uno de los grandes discos de principios de los 90,muy en la linea del 1š de Harem Scarem en lo que respecta a que los temas son melodicos y todos en la misma linea.MUY GUAPO.

Is the singer a girl because I remember hearing the single 'Where Are You Now?' and I could have sworn it was a girl? Any info?

I love this band, I met them in '92 when they opened for Warrent in Melbourne - Juno Roxus is a spunk!

From: John Cashion Date: January 14, 2003 at 21:47
Hi Guys Just for your info Roxus fans. The first single was Stand Back which was released a long time before Nightstreet came out (about a year). Bodyheat was their second single but didn't make the Nightstreet album. On the Nightstreet album Where Are You Now and Bad Boys were the singles. They also had a 4 track live EP called Roxus Live. The EP had live versions of Stand Back, Bodyheat, Morning Light (this song was basically the single off the EP as there was a video for it) and a cover of a

good aor from these australians.still i think southern sons are a lot better.

From: John Cashion Date: January 22, 2003 at 2:00
Hi Rob I still have a Southern Sons T-shirt at home which I have only worn once (I am too embarrased too!!) After all I did buy it at a John Farnham concert.

From: David Date: January 22, 2003 at 3:34
John Cashion, I went to that concert too, It's was my first concert ever and I went with my parents. Gee! that was ages ago, about 1991. I saw them at Melbourne Park, which then was Flidders Park.

From: John Cashion Date: January 23, 2003 at 21:27
G'day David!! I saw them at the Derwent Entertainment Centre near Hobart. Must have been the same tour (I think Farnham was doing the Chain Reaction tour (his live album might have been out as well) and Southern Sons had just brought out their single 'Hold me in your arms'. I was about 18 at the time (it wasn't yesterday my friend!!).

From: De-Arrow Date: January 24, 2003 at 9:00
Roxus are awesome. The Roxus live ep is now deleted and quite the rarity. I think the cover you are talking about Almost Summer..originally by billy thorpe. only came out as a single. Juno's solo album Far From Here is disappointing. Nightstreet is excellent.

From: TheRipper Date: January 24, 2003 at 9:08
Hey De-Arrow, you wouldn't happen to be a fan of the group with the same name would you? Email me at chakabri@aol.com if you wanna talk.

From: Michael Date: February 19, 2003 at 10:19
Great songs and great sound thanks to producer extrordinaire Mark Opitz (INXS, Cold Chisel, Angels, Noiseworks).

From: jayglam@hotmail Date: March 3, 2003 at 13:03
I seen these guys open for Bon Jovi or was it Warrant in Brisbane, Australia. In my opinion the best Australian band in Melodic rock. Best songs would be Rock N Roll nights, Midnight Love, Where are you now, and the ballad this time. Juno Roxus was a very talented singer. Check it out if you Like bon Jovi, danger danger check it out please. A definate grower each listen.

From: zonic Date: May 10, 2003 at 15:26
roxus' album is very good, but juno's solo...well...better don't buy it. by the way can somebody tell me where to find roxus live EP?

From: Grant Date: June 23, 2003 at 10:47
This is an all-time great Australian rock album in my opinion! It's a huge shame that these guys didn't go further. They deserved a lot more credit for this album than they recieved!!!

From: Benn Date: June 27, 2003 at 0:43
BLECH!!! I think this album is HORRIBLE! My brother bought it at a Sound Warehouse and we listened to the first song and immediately returned it.

From: GlamHellion Date: June 27, 2003 at 2:31
I have the live EP on vinyl, it's great! Body Heat is one of the best songs I've ever heard! Roxus should've been huge.

From: Killjoy Date: August 26, 2003 at 8:16
Great band. I cannot find the live EP anywhere these days. And yes, those of you who remember the forerunner of this band De-Arrow know legends when you see them.

chakabri, um you could say i was a big fan ..Roxus - nightstreet is probably the premier melodic hard rock album to be released from the glory days...Midnight Love, what a song!!!

From: jj Date: December 14, 2003 at 7:04
I loved this cd, but unfortunately i left it in Melbourne 12 years ago. The drummer is actually my second cousin. I think these guys could have gone a great distance. They had a bit of a cult following in Melbourne.

From: Davo Date: January 15, 2004 at 5:32
I think that this band is one of the best hard rock/hair bands to come out of Australia, very talented muso's and great strong songs. I dig them, they could have gone further but I think that they came out at the end of the genre's lifeline. Just bad luck, I guess.

From: Mel Date: February 4, 2004 at 1:37
This is the best band and CD ever. I was so in love with each of them when i was around 16. I was wrapped when i got to see them in concert in Melbourne. I have a photo that was taken with Dragan and then managed to the inside foldout picture in the Nighttreet CD signed by the entire band. It is my most prized possesion.

From: TIM Date: February 4, 2004 at 2:07
Mel, I was just listening to this a couple of hours ago. Forgot how good it is. Highly recommended!

From: metalman73 Date: February 16, 2004 at 23:19
I am listening to the song 'where Are You Now?'...Did another band do this song? This is not the same version I heard before...this is the same song though. Any Help? Thanks

From: Date: February 17, 2004 at 19:41
I found it...James Christian (House Of Lords,Attraction) does this song on one of his demos I have. Anyone know if there is a connection between James and Roxus?

I love roxus.... I saw them live when they played at Chadstone shopping centre. He was wearing a pumphouse baseball cap and when juno threw it into the audience I caught it......

From: Rycheage Date: June 12, 2004 at 23:45
This is a classy affair. The sound is brimming with pulsing melodic rock where the keyboards/synths are layered to perfection and are the perfect foil for Stanic's incredible guitarwork. Juno's vocals are great too, and though there is a fair bit of Jon Bon Jovi in his style it's complimentary.

From: mushmouth Date: June 17, 2004 at 14:11
warning this album will grow on u & get stuck in your head, I grew up listening 2 this & everytime I listen 2 it (still often) I get nostalgic about my youth... plus Whenre Are You Now was a song I shared with my then g/f (hey where is she now???? lol) P.S. highlight of the album is Bad Boys, worth whatever u pay 4 it 4 just that song alone

From: Rocker76 Date: July 1, 2004 at 9:14
If bands like Fair Warning & Frontline get you in the mood, then Roxus will certainly get you primed & ready! Good AOR/melodic rock. Roxus deliver the goods with tracks that sound like they were directly from the late 80s (Bad Boys) as well as their own contributions to early 90s melodic class (Rock 'n' Roll Nights & First Break of the Heart). They're not as good as Frontline but right up there with Fair Warning in my book. Def. worth the purchase if you're into those 2 bands any at all.

From: TIM (2) Date: July 2, 2004 at 7:55
Glad we finally agree on an album Rocker76! Although I'd probably be an awkward sod and say this was up there with Frontline and not quite as good as Fair Warning! Excellent keyboard-driven AOR, although they lost a lot of cred by having their songs played on certain daytime Australian soap operas. 'My Way' and 'First Break of the Heart' are my faves on a very consistent disc.

From: Rocker76 Date: July 2, 2004 at 9:21
It's about time Tim (LOL!) But yeah I can't say enough about this Roxus record. I admit I was clueless about them until fairly recently and decided to take the word of our fellow headbangers on this site. Glad I did! They have a really good sound to them (more like Frontline than Fair Warning). I really dig Bad Boys because it has the classic late 80s hair metal vibe to it. But really good from start to finish! I'll keep an eye out for your posts to see if we can't agree a little more!

From: Geoff Date: August 15, 2004 at 0:02
Well to be honest, this one just makes a man proud to be Aussie! :-D One of the best melodic hard rock albums ever - 'Midnight love' is perfect, 'Rock n'roll nights' is killer, the ballads 'Where are you now', 'Jimi G' and 'This time' are all amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this album. Killer!!! 9/10

From: Roxas(not Juno) Date: October 16, 2004 at 23:24
My friend gave me this album for nothing back in 1994. I must remember to than him. What can i say, this album has a great rock n roll heartbeat, weve got it all with this we really have. In the heat of the night you can really feel it's fire. If you looking for some action, maybe even a love reaction then this album will take you to places you've never been. So pack them bags my friend and let this cd set you free, time is racing. Maybe i'm wrong but hey, it's just the way i feel.

From: Joshy St. Jaimz Date: October 15, 2005 at 7:20
This one stuck with me from the get go. Great melodic rock/AOR tracks on this one. A brilliant mix of catchy rockers and beautiful ballads all of which have class stamped all over them. Standouts include (and its hard to pick!) - Bad Boys, Midnight Love, My Way, Where Are You Know?, etc, etc. Production is top notch, which makes me wonder why the production on Juno's solo album is below average. Anyway, killer album, and if you live in Australia you should be able to find this one pretty easily.

From: Erik Date: October 26, 2005 at 11:32
I wont dare pick out a single song. The album is that good. Especially like the mix of cathy melodic rock and superb ballads. Yeah fantastic album. 9,1/10

From: AussieDave_67 Date: November 7, 2005 at 16:14
This is one excellent album , I have seen them play a few times and it was one wild show.I even meet the guys after a gig and they signed my cd for me . I whis they would reunite !!!!!

From: SCANDI Date: November 17, 2005 at 15:39
Another time I can't fully agree to above comments (not even to Erik's). I think the first track 'Rock 'n' roll nights' is just a fine killer melodicrocker & the last track 'Jimi G.' (I don't know that guy, do I??) is a creeping rockballad. In between there is 'Midnight love', 'Where are you now?', 'This time' that are not bad either. However, for me it's not a grower (listen to it for the 4th or 5th time now) but more a witherer. Good mix of AOR/MR, sweet keys though. 7,7/10

From: SCANDI Date: November 17, 2005 at 15:42
THis album is for your big collection but mine is only strenthen of ca. 300 .. Best thing to say 'bout this album is that they support Greenpeace

From: Chad Date: December 31, 2006 at 1:03
Damn I like this band. It is too bad that they did not put out more albums. I have a few demos of theirs that shows that their second album would have been a monster. Too bad they had not come into the music scene a few years earlier. A very good band with very good songs.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 2, 2007 at 19:41
This album is a timeless masterpiece...BUY IT!!! 'Midnight Love' is the most outstanding hammer-track!!WOW...what a fantastic band!!!

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: April 1, 2007 at 21:26

From: darobinson Date: May 18, 2007 at 18:08
This CD is killer!! Midnight Love is a true melodic rock song. If you can find it, buy it!!!

From: KurtmanJP Date: May 5, 2008 at 2:17
It really annoyed me when some metal site classified this as 'limp wristed hard rock'. 'My Way' is an OUTSTANDING song I love to crank every now and then!

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: May 7, 2008 at 22:07
Good Hard AOR album, very solid. 'Where Are You Now' is a fantastic song, and i think, this is the best song they have ever made in their entire career IMHO.
