I have paid over a hundred for a 4 tracker so it all depends on what you want to collect...At the end of the day everyone will have their own opinion but if you like what you bought then it was worth it.....I believe this cd when it's available is selling for around $30 to $40 so if you can pick it up for $20 then you did good.

oh my god...I just listened to the sampler of 'Love Conquers All' and heavy harmonies cut it off right before the song explodes with passion....now if that is not a teaser then I don't know what is.

Hehehe, I guess you'll need to go out and find the CD then. I make all the samples the same length, regardless of where the ending falls in the song. I wouldn't use the supposed $20 Ebay average as any kind of indicator; I think there's a hip-hop or soul artist also name Safire or Sa-Fire. In reality, as Purrfect Kat alluded to, this disc normally goes for a lot more. IMHO it's worth every penny. It's an Australian band and this was their only release; copies are extremely tough to come by. I lucked into my copy about 5 years ago trading with someone in Australia. If you like their sound, check out the band Worlds Apart; similar sound.

The other day I was in a local record store and I bumped into Doggy, which I had met a couple of times before. A really nice bloke and he was also the manager of this short lived band back in the day. So one of my first questions to him was did he have any spare copy of this rarity. He said he didn't but he could lend me a copy of his. Along with the Safire cd he also lent me a couple of other rarities which are just all awesome!! Getting to this Safire cd, I think it's pretty good.

The production is a bit thin, so if you're into the big production this maybe not for you, but good song writing, I don't know if it's worth mega bucks?? But very tight AOR!

Singer is in a pop rock/nu breed band called Square One with Steve ex Cyclone Tracy and also in LMP signed power metal band Black Majesty. Trust me Square One is not power metal. More modern power pop in the aor sense kinda like Nelson meets the Goo Goo Dolls meets Taxiride. Powerplay's AOR column rated them best unsigned band/demo of 2003. Demo is available for free download online at www.squareonemusic.com

The lead guitarist (AWESOME!!!!!) - Steve Martret, plays in a band called 'fuse' in the City. The band is great, but I go because this guy's guitar work is out of this world - the best guitarist I've ever seen!!!!!!!

Finally heard it. Very nice melodic rock. Reminds me of several bands not on the tip of my tongue now, but if you like good melodic rock you're a certainty to like this one too. Very good CD.

Hi Guys, I am the guitarist of SAFIRE and I have to admit this is the fitst time I have stumbled across this forum and I just want to say (WOW!!) a big thank-you for all of your kind words and appreciation for this recording that now was recorded some 10 years ago. Maybe a reunion may be in order to release a full 12 song CD, this forum does give food for thought. I just wanted to say on behalf of all of the members of the band that everyone contributed heavily in someway all of the melodic and

musical arrangements on this CD and if one person from the band did not have an input It would have sounded completely different. For anyone that has seen us live its nice to be able to say HI once again and maybe sometime in the future we may get the priviledge to perform for you once again. Thankyou to everyone in the band and for everyone out there that has enjoyed our music and helping to give SAFIRE the limited but for me special success it has experienced. Until I see you again Steve

This cd surprise me.Incredible stunning and clean production, they remind me to Surrender only for the kind of production and choruses arrangements, the music it's a sort of an aor Bon Jovi version.Every song is incredible melodick even if these guys lack of something and I find this Mini cd a little flat but very goos to be Australian and indie, too.I would like to know if they are Christians,I m not able to understand what they say,if anyone understand the lyrics please let me know, thanks!!!!

After SAFIRE, Bill Georgio & Mozz Walters formed a new band KENILWORTH & went on to record one album with new vocalist Shane. A few years back Bill Georgio also formed a new band HALL OF FAME with Ex-Hyperion vocalist Jimmy. So if you love that catchy melodic AOR style, check out albums by KENILWORTH & HALL OF FAME.
