SE SALEEEEEEEEEE. Very good album.and i like the people that write their own songs, play the guitar, the bass, the drums, and the keyboards, mixed, produce, that is johnny lima. so, all this things and his voice have done this album one of my favourites in this past year. listen it and enjoy PUXA ASTURIES

From: AOR freaky Date: January 16, 2004 at 6:45
Not his best work, far from it ! Too much rock 'n roll songs on this one and only a few goodies !

From: Dani Date: February 5, 2004 at 19:00
Buenísimo. Really good! If you liked the two last albums of Danger Danger(Paul Laine) you'll like this one, 'cause in my opinion,it's very similar.(The only thing I miss is better guitar solos).

From: dckiss Date: April 4, 2004 at 15:10
Ok this is a very main stream & cheesy album. Then why do I like it so much? I think its just because its so well done. This man can right some hooks that stick with you all day. If you like Bon Jovi like from the first 4 albums...this album is for you he sounds a lot like Jon. I don't think he is trying to he just sings that way. Get this album.....very good stuff

From: jessica96fish Date: April 5, 2004 at 16:09
this is what i class as throw away rock.but yeah i do like this guy.you don't need half a brain to listen to this.very much like bon jovi s/t.if you like it cheesy then buy.i did.now weres the other part of my brain.lol

From: zino il tino Date: April 7, 2004 at 15:43
a poor copy of bon jovi. as usual frontiers manage only undiscovered gems

From: tomcat Date: April 8, 2004 at 15:37
i totally do not agree with the comment from zino il tino. Johnny LIma is a great artist.

From: Rockhead Date: April 8, 2004 at 16:32
Hey Tomcat-I think Zino has a real problem with ANY release from Frontiers regardless of who or what!!

From: FRATELLO Date: September 8, 2004 at 3:13
I don't like Frontiers' releases too, but Johnny Lima is an excelent artist. And concerning Bon Jovi - well, after "New Jersey" there was nothin interesting. And Johnny made three cool albums much better than Jon did. And "Made In California" cool disk, not a filler on this cd. The Beatles' cover very cool too. Johny gets 8/10 for this CD!

From: Geoff Date: September 8, 2004 at 20:43
Are Johnny's vocals getting weaker? He never had a good voice... but is it even worse now? Either way, 'Another girl'(killer, amusing hard rock track) and 'Something about you'(Sentimental gem) are worth this album alone. Killer tracks. Unfortunately a lot of the rest is not extremely good. I like the title track, but tracks like 'Best night of my life','Go on go away' and 'We've go tonight' don't do him favours. Still, overall I like Johnny and I do actually like the CD, even the average songs.

From: FRATELLI Date: September 9, 2004 at 4:18
Something About You is very cool track. Agree with Geoff.

From: MelodicBoy Date: November 27, 2004 at 22:37
I like this CD a lot, and take my hat off to Johnny for being able to play so many instruments as well as write and sing the tunes. Also admire him for cranking out catchy melodic rock in today's crappy alternative music climate. Sounds like Johnny was influenced a lot by bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard, and I think I even hear some Rick Springfield in there. Overall, a quality CD and highly recommended.

From: z4roxx Date: February 27, 2005 at 22:27
I've been positively impressed by this artist J.Lima.I like this kind of melodick hard rock well arranged and played. The style is very similar to Bon Jovi indeed with some moments that reminds me to Tower City,Wall of Silence or last Harem Scarem's works. That's good melodick hard rock and it's a recommended cd,IMO.I'll certainly take his first 2 releases in future...

From: gener8tr Date: May 4, 2005 at 15:48
Okay, now this is a VERY good CD! Reimnds me a lot of Bonfire - Fireworks era stuff, with big hooks and catchy chorus'. If you like bands such as Airkraft or Blue Tears, pick this one up!

From: Wotty Date: July 3, 2005 at 12:18
Well,I finally got this under recommendation and an not disappointed.Huge songs and huge hooks that really do reel you in.This is your typical roof down, speed down the highway and crank the volume up kind of slightly Hard/A.O.R.From the opening Made In California to the closing Welcome To My Paradise,it's one superb, classy album.A big thumbs up !!!!

From: glamjunkie Date: January 29, 2006 at 21:40
Heard about this one for ages and just got it recently and love it. When it's not sounding like bon jovi, it sounds like def leppard.

From: juan carlos Date: April 24, 2007 at 17:05
Buen Melodic Rock, la voz un tanto limitada de Johnny, los solos no muy currados y la producción solo ok son lo que no me a agradado mucho del disco. "Something About You" con un buen solo me a gustado bastante y "Where Are You Now" son lo mejor del disco. La 2,4,5,6,8 y 11 buenas solamente. El cover de los Beatles innecesario en mi opinión, la voz a lo Bon Jovi y alguno que otro coro que me recordó a Def Leppard. Máximo un 8/10 IMO.

From: Grinch Date: October 17, 2008 at 12:28
Good one from Johnny although I think that his first album is better.Still there are some pretty good melodic rock songs here.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 4, 2011 at 8:59
Johnny Lima is made up of equal parts Bon Jovi and Def Leppard, back when both bands were more than the irrelevant shadows of themselves they have become in latter years. There is more sugary sweetness sprinkled over this CD than there is in a box of Frosted Flakes. All the songs are made up of super-catchy hooks and built on a foundation of polished guitars and layered harmonies, so any melodic hard rock fan would have to be certifiably insane not to glean at least a modicum of enjoyment from this release. It's fun, breezy stuff, designed for cruising the summer highways with the top down and the sunshine warming your face.

very good release once again by JOHNNY LIMA,who is an extremely capable songwriter!he seems to have always the right hook on track and his approach is commercial and hard rockin in a very fine way!on the other hand i d like to see him in a certain band with better musicians and production !Made inCalifornia will surely satisfy you with plenty of catchy tunes and big vocs &choruses!recommended

From: 123charpenay Date: March 31, 2017 at 11:24
johnny lima have a big influence from bon jovi and a little from def leppard.our friend johnny have good taste.this record is not at the same very high level than his fantastic debut album.nevertheless this realise stay very great.tracks 5 and 9 are some fillers.track 7 the cover of "help" from the beattles have absoluty no interest.tracks 1.3.8.10 and 11 are some killer songs,a dream for all fans of hard f m.the other songs are very great.the two bonus tracks "rock n roll generation" and" she gets around" will not stay in the history of the hard rock music but stay some great songs very pleasant to listen.
