John Elefante's resemblance to Jesus on the cover of this CD is uncanny. I wish this CD rocked a bit more, but with Michael W. Smith doing so well in the early 90s, somebody had to edge into his market, I suppose. I still think Mastedon and Kansas are Elefante's defining works. |

Hey Koogles...I like Elefante's Kansas work a lot. I was wondering what happened to him after that. Any solo projects you would recommend from him that still rock? Similar to 'Drastic Measures', I mean? thanks, Pete |

'[05/31/03] New 'Best Of' release forthcoming John has announced a 'Best of' project with 3 new songs to be released sometime in 2003. He continues work on material for a new album, though that is a ways off. There is still talk of a possible Mastedon album as well.' This is the latest JE news I can find. Dunno if that 'Best Of' project has actually been issued yet. A new Mastedon album would be nice! Ay some point there was a johnelefante.com but that url isn't working anymore... |

Without a doubt his best solo album. Far more memorable than the next two, and unlike those albums this one is at least slightly recognizable as being by an ex member of Kansas! It's hardly progressive or pomp rock, but at least it has some intricate and memorable melodies that are sadly lacking from his later solo efforts. My favourite track here is 'That's Why God Made The Moon', and it's really only because of this one track that I bothered to try his next two albums.. and will the 4th one! 8 |

I liked his Mastedon, Elefante and Kansas stuff too, but I've always thought this was his defining moment. Glorious pure AOR with hardly a filler on board at all, and some of his best vocal work. The albums to follow were good also, but not this good. 'We Will Find our Way' is just an amazing ballad, and 'Hold me in Your Arms' is an ultra-catchy pop tune. It's not blazing with guitar riffs and solos, but what did you expect? His best solo album, and a great addition to any AOR collection. 9/10. |

I typically don't care much for Christian rock and roll music. However, this is probably THE BEST Christian R&R CD I've heard in the past decade. The songs definitely have a progressive rock feel. Buy it! I guarantee you won't be disappointed! |

Very Very good release this one, from one of the mega voices of the rock world. Definately his finest moment, although his work on Kansas's Drastic Measures album was phenomenal aswell. This is also the best of his solo work, although the others are recommended esecially the 'Defying Gravity' release. |

Indeed a good one, but his best ? Didn't you forget the Mastedon masterpieces ? Think that was his best work ! |

Temazos como: THIS IS WHAT LOVE IS, WHAT IF OUR WORLD, HELO MY GOODFRIEND, El Baladon: NO ONE'S EVER DIED FOR ME BEFORE (q me recue |

Sure, this is not heavy as Mastedon, or pompish like Kansas. It is at times poppy... BUT what a voice, what a production, what a songwriting ! Guys, this record is AOR heaven on earth! This is his best solo album. |

Love this album!!!..great songs indeed, maybe you can define this CD as a mixture of Westcoast and AOR (some Pop added too).'No One's Ever Died For Me Before','Hello My Good Friend' and 'That's Why God Made The Moon'(beautiful song!)are only a small example of what this album is all about...88/100 |
