| Grand's sophomore effort is a more dynamic but less consistent effort than their debut. Personally, I think the highs are worth the lows, but the latter keep this from a higher rating. At its best, the album delivers a great mix of fluffy AOR and simple 80s pop-rock. "Crash and Burn," "When We Were Young" and especially the singalong "Leave No Scar" are great examples. But the album also experiments with out-of-place hard rock ("Rock Bottom") and big band ("Sweet Talker"), and features at least one pure filler track ("All or Nothing"). The production's consistently good and I'm a big fan of Mattias Olofsson's vocals, but the band has yet to land on a truly home run formula.
