A bit overrated IMO. This effort really doesn't do much for me...

From: Joe JJC Date: August 24, 2003 at 20:12
Arena rock in the Journey/Night Ranger mold. Singer is kind of weak, IMO.

From: andres ribeiro Date: January 26, 2004 at 3:06
maybe the people the aor is not good ,but i think is very nice

From: David Date: March 10, 2004 at 14:00
This is an excellent release and is a must for anyone who is "into" collecting Eric Johnson related material. Years ago, a young Jay Aaron played bass and sang in Mariani, a three piece blues rock trio which included a 16 year old guitar player named Eric Johnson.

The original line-up included Billy White, who left to sub for Lynch on Dokken's solo effort. Chris Skiles is a great drummer and the whole band was a bunch of genuinely nice dudes. They opened for ZZTop on the tour that The Black Crows bailed on due to the beer sponsorship issue, and their "big shot" got wasted by inferior sound board work at the Erwin Center that night. It wrecked their image as a good band. The Hamburger Hill Rehearsal complex in Manchaca is gone now, a sad thing all around.

Great Sound -- RONDA -- (Portugal)

From: Geoff Date: August 19, 2004 at 2:37
I'd agree with the nice sound comment, but that's about all I can favourably say about it. It is in no way bad at all, just very average and not much for a grand melodic rock effort. I just don't dig the songs. Okay CD.

From: oliver Date: October 2, 2004 at 6:25
very average release.absolutely no catchy melodies. this for sure isn´t a must have.

From: Rycheage Date: October 2, 2004 at 20:54
Some nice lush arrangements and decent vocals, but nothing to get excited about. "All Day Long" is just stunning. The lush atmospheres are intricate and last in your mind long after the song is over. Aside from this song, the rest is a nice try at some radio friendly AOR but doesn't quite make it. Not bad but not great either.

From: vandervelde Date: November 4, 2004 at 9:47
Well, no good reviews here.I disagree beacause IMO this is great record. For me sound of this is like AOR mixed with 70's melodies, for that reason check out the the absolute killer(7minutes long!!) Burning High And Bright...what a song!!! only for this one this is a must...but this isn't only jewel here...Ronda another with great athmosphere, I Believe In stunning rocker with great melodie, superb instrumental track(10)...well i see no fillers here...for me very good record

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 20, 2004 at 12:29
YES BOYS, THIS IS A GOOD ALBUM OF AOR, PARA MIS HERMANOS DE HABLA HISPANA Y MIS HERMANOS DEL AOR, ESTE ES UN BUEN ALBUM, Y MAS SI ERES COLECCIONISTA DE ESTE GENERO ESTE DISCO NO PUEDE FALTAR EN TU COLECCION. BUENOS TEMAS Y COMO TODO BUEN DISCO DE AOR TIENE SU JOYA AQUI SIN DUDA ES Ronda EL RESTO DE TEMAS TAMBIEN DE BUEN NIVEL CASOS DE LA 1, 9(INSTRUMENTAL), 2,7, NO CLASICO, PERO UN BUEN ALBUM CON BUENOS TEMAS. SALUDOS DESDE SANTIAGO ICA-PERU.

GREAT ALBUN DE AOR

From: COBRA Date: November 25, 2006 at 8:58
Good Cd. Weak vocals at times. "Burning High and Bright" is a very nice ballad. "all Day Long " is very good also. A lighter side into the Night Ranger genre, but not Night Ranger clones. AOR.

From: z4roxx Date: October 14, 2007 at 15:59
Many years ago it sounded great to me,now I find it a decent one, don't know why, maybe because they alternate some very melodick pieces to some awful fillers, but totally is a good one!7,5/10!

From: tomdwa Date: March 26, 2010 at 15:23
I agree with the comments above, the sound quality of this cd is superb, but the song-writing is very average, and the guy has a very mediocre voice too. He knows how to play the guitar though... Don't Let Go is my personal favorit on this disc !

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 26, 2010 at 22:45
Pretty good album recorded at the beginning of the 90's and probably risking a lot coz the AOR was not that relevant at that new decade..anyway "Don't Let Go" is superb,a good track,"Ronda" really is a simple track but good,"Burning High And Dry" is a smooth ballad.About the comments above, yes,it has some Nightranger spark and the voice is just normal but not that extremely bad...i know when it comes to AOR we usually expect great vocals and that's the main idea but into the mediocre kind of,there are worst vocalist than Jay...84/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 28, 2010 at 18:36
Also recommendable are "Call Me Tonight" and the instrumental one "Carry The Wheel"(this one sounds ala Trevor Rabin kinda stuff)....

From: aor-boy Date: September 4, 2010 at 3:40
Awful album, Just bad songs & nothing catchy at all. 2/10

From: Master_Of_Puppets Date: December 27, 2010 at 23:45
Worth the dollar i paid for it haha tracks 2 and 3 are worth it, that's about all.

From: hair metal again Date: January 25, 2011 at 3:57
good hard rock release by JAY AARON who seems to be the mastermind of this band.kinda strange release with some very good songs and some fillers also.excellent production, good musicianship and overall a nice effort.standout songs are "dont let go","ronda" and "all day long"
