The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular John Waite CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from John Waite are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I love John Waite but this album sucks...I think the words I put in an Amazon review spell it out the best here they are: This release is a pitiful cash in on John Waite. The material is strictly average and is not a fair representation of the artist. The liner notes have been done by some hack who it would appear has never listened properly to any of Mr. Waites past works. He says the songs on this release would have made Rovers Return a much stronger album!!! (cont....) |

(....cont) Duh! Rovers Return is an excellent album and much better and rockier than Mask of Smiles (which the hack rates as fantastic) which John himself quoted as having been recorded to please the record company who wanted an album full of "Missing You's". Avoid unless you are like me you have to have a full collection! Go buy any John Waite but this! |

Have to agree Nick regarding the studio tracks -probably a reason why they were unreleased in the first place as they are way off the mark compared to the finished 'Rovers Return' album . They aren't bad, but not up to JW's usual high standards. I must admit I like the Live tracks though and usually programme the old player from 6 onwards. The voice, oh the voice!!! |
