Terry Ilous, was an anomaly for the 80's Sunset strip seen. A French singer who barely spoke English at the time (123charpenay) packs his bags with bass player Patt Fontaine from France to make it America. He went through several formations starting the band XYZ before striking gold, with the XYZ (1989) debut produced by Don Dokken. Although no major success materialized for the band, as it dissolved after Hungry (1991). Terry's voice still sounds in pretty good shape in his upper 50's on this album which is straight forward middle of the road MHR with some 70's influences. I dig the opening track "Believe" and "Somewhere Down the Line". Terry did a 2024 club tour spring/summer with George Lynch, Anthony Corder (Tora Tora). Terry Ilous' XYZ Maggy/Come On 'n' Love Me LIVE 3/21/24 in Mt.Dora, FL for THE RISE OF THE DECADES https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P3fLDVtl0M
