|after on your kness..it was time for change for boc .the hits are here now.i was so surprized when i first hear dont fear the reaper.it was so clear that this is one those moments when music and words make unity so strong and powerful that will last forever.im 45 years old and boc was myfirst expirience with heavy thing.the rest of the album is well balanced.but the sheer strenth of first tree albums are something that i will never forget.

|A frightening CD. The musical equivalent of a Stephen King novel. (Stephen actually quoted BOC in one of his books, "Pet Semetary" I believe.) Anyway, this is a classic release that takes a few listens before everything sinks in. Not really as heavy as their first 3 albums, perhaps "menacing" or "macabre" is the best way to describe it. But having said that, this is some of BOC's most beautiful music here as well: especially towards the end of the disc.

|Spaced out and fantastic are about all I can say for this great album. The whole album takes you to another place, one better to listen to...then to be there.

|This was the very first cassette I ever owned, back in the early 80s. The fact that I still love this album speaks volumes. Just one great song after another. From the thunderous opening riffs of "This Ain't the Summer of Love" to the closing strains of the bittersweet "Debbie Denise" this is just classic material. Many prefer "Secret Treaties", but for me this is the best thing B.O.C. ever put out.

|Some good songs, "ETI", "..Reaper". Unfortunately the production is not the best and these songs sound better on the live albums. Not the best band in the studio, although REAPER is still a strong radio song.

|A late discovery for me I'm sorry to say, but when I discovered them I was hooked instantly. This one ranks among the bands best moments in my books

|One of the greatest 70's album. Absolute masterpiece. Fullfilled with great melodies, ambitious tracks and (as usual) atomic lyrics. I think that it's close (ok, you can kill me)to Queen's"A Night At The Opera".

| Previously dubbed as the "American" Black Sabbath, BOC were lyrically much more thought provoking & lightyears beyond their one trick pony plodding power chord counterparts. This record in particular made that distinction & incorporated hard rock diversity, while retaining, if not enlarging their lyrical mystique. Their first massive hit single, the hypnotic yet melodic "(Dont Fear) The Reaper" still gets airplay today, while other gems include "Morning Final", & "Tenderloin". However, for the chill factor, turn down the lights & listen to the haunting "Revenge of Vera Gemini" & the equally jolting but sonically assaulting "Tatto Vampire". Also, the mid tempo, sci-fi fan favorite "ETI" sends you on a journey reminiscent of their earlier works. Really this album has few flaws & is the landmark of their career.

|Classic album that contains 2 of the band's most recognized songs in the shape of "(Don't Fear)The Reaper" & "E.T.I." these ones along with "Morning Final" are my faves...70/100
