Stranger than fiction has got to be the best song on the album by far....the last Brian Howe disc....

Great production on this one. "Both Feet," "How About That," "Brokenhearted," "Take This Town," "Stranger Than Fiction," and the title track are the best songs. Too bad Howe and the other guys couldn't get along and parted company. Howe is a great singer.

Good album, but here this incarnation of Bad Company is starting to lose steam. Even slower than Holy Water, one misses the intensity of Dangerous Age. Still, plenty of good songs.

I bought this by accident, believe it or not. I wanted the album with the song "No Smoke WIthout a Fire," and somebody told me it was on this one, so I bought it without looking. I don't really care for this one too much. Tracks 1 and 4 just about do it for me.

Production is "toned down" here. This one doesn't have the "live" feel like HOLY WATER did, but it's still a good album with good tunes on it.

I love this album too. Stranger Than Fiction, How About That, Little Angel, for a few to pick. Almost every song considers love, so this is perfect music on the backround, when you have some special person with you... I think only Foreigner´s Best Of Ballads takes the first position in that case

Also gave this one a go. Again, very good for what it is but just not enough to keep me too interested. I believe 'Little angel' was a fave of mine, but there's no denying this is quality AOR.

The last in the trilogy of albums to feature Brian Howe on vocals. Another AOR/melodic rock release which quickly vanished out of site as "grunge" had taken hold of America's rock scene.

"what about you" es mi favorita. 10/10

DISCAZO!!! AOR de lujo (no Hardrock) de estas leyendas, contiene deliciosas canciones como "Stranger Than Fiction" temazo de temazos sin mayores comentarios "This Could be the One" espectacular con inicio a lo "If You Needed...." "Take This Town", "Here Comes Trouble" etc...

This one is a much more cohesive effort than the last, as it has a more consistant song base through out. The band has found their pace and the music just fits Brian Howes voices better this time. That along with better production and the disc just comes off better overall. "How About That", "This Could Be The One", and "Little Angel" are quality AOR tunes. I would probably say that this one is around a 7 out of 10.

Hoy 6-09-2007 Feliz Cumple Babe!

Brian Howe is the type of singer that can sing Hard Rock or AOR in a way that can satisfy the us the listeners pretty well...this album has 2 major songs in the shape of "How About That" & "Take This Town" which are my favourites of this release...some other good shots are "Here Comes Trouble","This Could Be The One"(nice)& "My Only One"(nice)...enjoyable album...84/100

last act from the super singer,mr brian howe,in bad co.always the same recipe.an extraordinary sound (very clear),some fabulous riffs and guitar s solos and of course some superb songs who stay in your brain immediatly.track 2 and 10 are simply exceptionnal.track 4 and 9 are two beautiful ballads the rest is a wet dream for all melodic rockers of this planet (exept track 11).no bonus track on the japan version.

If the band's choice of an album title was meant to convey a rough, tough image, they failed. Trouble? Where? This is more of the same mild-mannered, wholly inoffensive AOR we'd come to expect in the Brian Howe era. Yeah yeah, he's a fine singer and a good "craftsman," but the material here is just so fucking DULL! Granted, each of the previous Howe albums had more than their share of filler, but here, it's almost all forgettable, the lone exception being the minor hit "How About That?" It's like Richard Marx: you have to admit the overall competence of the songwriting, singing and playing, but the end results are just so watery and weak. This is neutered AOR played by and for complacent middle-aged people. This iteration of Bad Co. owes a lot of its success to the stuck-in-the-'70's mindset of American AOR radio at the time, which also afforded the Lou Gramm-less Foreigner a hit during the same period.

The Swansong of Brian Howe fronted Bad Company. While certainly not as good as the previous two releases as it contains more filler, this is still a decent release for me. How About That is good lyrically but lacks power I think; Stranger Than Fiction is definitely a winner for me and has a great chorus; Here Comes Trouble is another winner and could easily be taken off the previous two albums; Hold Onto My Heart is a workable ballad but misses the mark for me; Brokenhearted is another powerful rocker with catchy vocals; finally, My Only One is a Kirke sung synth-ballad, which works very well. As for the guitars, they definitely seem stuck in the 70s but then Mick Jones of Foreigner or Frankie Sullivan of Survivor weren't exactly known for their shredding either and those bands had a lot of success around the same time as Bad Company with Brian Howe, so they don't sound too out of place to me. A good release but not essential like the previous two.
