oh boy, what do we have here. an aor fans wet dream, keys from heaven by Mark Mangold, superb guitars from Zebra's Randy Jackson and a whole heap of good tunes. check out the opening track I'm alive for further proof. PURE HEAVEN

Great vocals, tight music and just a winner of a cd. It is a solid 8.5. I recomend this cd without reservation

Great stuff indeed ! No wonder, where mr. Mangold is involved you get class music. This is a very fine pomp/AOR CD and highly recommended to every melodic lover !!!!!

From: John Date: April 14, 2003 at 20:08
Stunning. Simply awesome AOR.

From: Rycheage Date: July 13, 2003 at 16:43
"Signs Of Life" is all that AOR has ever aspired to be and certainly a worthy effort for this supergroup of sorts. Big gushy choruses with an epic pop edge, flawless vocal harmonies, the kind of catchy melodies that take about one split second to be memorized, and relatively involved arrangements.

Great to see this band rated that high ! They deserve it big way ! Mark is a fantastic talent and this is class AOR/pomp ! Their new one should be out this year ! Hope it will !!! GREAT !

Superb Album ! 9\10

From: Geoff Date: September 6, 2004 at 2:21
I invite hatred with these comments, but this release does nothing at all for me. I don't get the rave reviews, I admit, as to me this is very average AOR, like Last Autumn's Dream or something. It's pretty good, but holy crap so many do it better. I even prefer Drive She Said, and much prefer Terry Brock's solo album, and of course Strangeways. I don't mind 'Nothing but a heartache', but even that is so ordinary and that's what this CD is to me - extremely (below?) average!

The Sign - The Second Coming Finally I received from IndigoRecords the new "The Sign" album. I was amazed at Signs of Life. I think it is one of the best Rock records of the last 10 years, at least, and I thought it was impossible to repeat such a great job. But they surprised me, in the unique intelligent way (we are speaking about the VIP of the rock scene !!) it is very DIFFERENT. So, we are in the presence of another milestone, the mystic journey of Aryon continues, The concept is still ther

Andrea, Where do you live? I received my copy of The Second Coming from Mark Mangold about a week ago and have very much enjoyed the new material from Mark, Terry, and Randy. I am interested in bringing the guys down to Texas possibly next year for a performance.

Surprisingly good album!!! Well, it kinda figures with the involvement of my "AOR mentor" Mark Mangold ...A quality level seldomly seen nowadays...

From: swriter Date: August 28, 2005 at 18:22
pretty good one I just found out about, wonder why Randy does not sing that much on this, Terry is great though, the songs are all strong, wonderful stuff and great aor songs, I will be there, Stranded, all your life, heartache, Desperate heart, great

From: headbanger4life Date: November 1, 2005 at 0:51
This is a nice one. Quite a different group of musicians working together here to produce some good AOR. I got the Japanese version with a bonus track and really enjoy the whole album. I haven't picked up their second release yet but I definately plan on it.

From: ehyder Date: April 3, 2007 at 19:41
This record is the swan song of Pomp Rock. Probably the last great record of this music genre. This album brings you back memories of Kansas, Touch, Queen and Zeppelin and flows so well. Especially the first part is amazing. Songs like "Cross The Line", "Signs of Life", "Aryon" and "Forever Again" are timeless. Get it when you can.

From: Shogun01 Date: April 24, 2007 at 8:39
Ok, but Strangeways are much better.

From: darobinson Date: February 17, 2008 at 18:36
I agree with Geoff above, this is not that good. It is truly sad that Terry Brock has never been able to find the magic that was Strangeways. This disc is very average, 3/10 for me.

From: erik Date: April 24, 2009 at 6:33
i have to agree with geoff here also. i dont hear it. listen to the song stranded, its just over the top. overtrying i'd say. the rest of the songs are also very flat and dont grab me anywhere. only exceptions are two gems on the record Nothing but a Heartache and Desperate Heart. Now thats how the rest of the album should have sounded.
