Hi Steven, Misss the good times!!!!

From: Shoemaker Date: February 3, 2002 at 14:21
This is a very fine CD, great melodicrock and with Martin and Parry two of the best singers in the business. Steve Qualle should talk to Misha, because after that he made only weak stuff.

From: Fast Phil Date: July 13, 2002 at 19:09

Absolutely brilliant, great vocals and compositive quality. I guess Misha's manager doesn't manage sex so regularly...

From: IVO Date: October 1, 2003 at 17:26
This album is superb and one of the few that grabs You since first few seconds.I have nothing against the Ian Parry, but I think This album should be recorded only by Tony Martin.About the second album I think it's a mistake. After the songs with Tony Martin the rest looks like kids humming(I'm sorry Ian Perry).Strangers is one of the strongest songs I ever heard. We expect more albums like this.Rock will never die!!!(In My heart)

Throughout 'Evolution' Misha Calvin has shown himself to be a virtuoso guitarist and song-writer. Being a fan of both heavier and acoustic guitar, I really enjoyed the way Misha combined the two in many of his songs. The inclusion of two top-notch vocalists and a huge production has added to the class of this release.

From: TIM (2) Date: September 13, 2004 at 5:38
Recently re-issued, along with his later releases, but this was the best of them. Powerful British melodic rock with some awesome guitar work, big production, and classy vocals. But more than anything else these are just great songs. "Don't Let it Go" and "Can't Hold Me" are the most AOR of the tracks therefore my faves, but there isn't a filler on here. The formula remained the same on the later albums, but without the great songs it never worked as well. 9/10.

From: Geoff Date: September 13, 2004 at 21:16
What an awesome sound this CD has! 'Strangers' is a great melodic hard rock opener, 'Ready or Not' a lovely continuance, 'Put a Little Faith in Me' is a beautiful heartfelt ballad, 'Don't Let it Go' and 'Can't Hold Me' are anthemic melodic gems, and 'Here I Am' is a killer hard rocker too. Superbly played, massive hooks - a killer hard rock CD and very highly recommended!

Nice record, but who is this Misha Calvin guy? Noone I know in Yugoslavia has ever heard of him...

From: Lovedrive Date: January 9, 2006 at 12:08
No está mal! suena de lujo... pero para mi, lejos de ser un clásico.

From: darobinson Date: October 5, 2007 at 19:13
Some people have actually put this album in the same category of greatness as the first two Boston albums. That would mean that they have not heard the first two Boston albums. They are two of the best albums of all time. This is okay, but a masterpiece, no.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: October 9, 2007 at 3:19
HUGE CD 97/100 great MELODIC HARD ROCK ! TONY MARTIN is unbelievable on this one as good as his work on the great "headless cross" by BLACK SABBATH by far the best MISHA CALVIN cd.....SO FAR ! FIND IT ....AND BUY IT !

From: Nelson Date: September 14, 2009 at 0:30
So, who is this Misha Calvin guy? He's the one who had taken all The Alliance songs and credited them to Martin/Calvin. He didn't write these songs. The Alliance was the old band of Tony Martin and wrote all of these. They didn't get any money. They did "kicked up a bit of a stink about it at the publishers Warner Chappel, but nothing got done". This is a project that Tony Martin said that he has "an active dislike for now". He said that he "didn't take him that seriously..." Also, he's "less than amused when he received a copy of the record". So before that idiot Steve Quayle ramble on, he should have checked his song-stealing client first.

From: shoemaker Date: September 14, 2009 at 9:01
Ok, now I know why the second MISHA CALVIN CD is such a worse album, maybe that time he wrote all songs himself :]

From: Nelson Date: September 14, 2009 at 10:44
Most probably! What happened was he got associated with The Alliance, I think through management set-up. But the band was not stable at that time. Most of them have day jobs and frustration was in the air. Only Tony Martin was committed. And Martin had and probably still has no idea how this Misha Calvin got a British passport (therefore a British citizenship). Anyway, he was this guy who was positioning himself as the next guitar hero. Probably Tony and the guys had the idea that this guitarist will only use them and their songs (which he did) as a stepping stone that's why they didn't take him seriously.
