If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Slave Raider CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Slave Raider are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Great melodic/glam metal albulm. With catchy hooks and driving guitars.

From: BPG Date: April 12, 2002 at 20:47
Pretty good cd, but their 1st cd is fantastic "Make Some Noise". Track 13 here is acually "Jailbreak" a remake of Thin Lizzy's song. Their 3rd cd wasn't bad either. I've seen them numerous times in the Minneapolis area and they are a great band see live, complete with chainsaws and energy that blows you away. They also covered Nazareth-Hair of the Dog ,but with lyrics that changed to-Now Your Messin' with the Minnesota Twins-during their World series Championship in 1991. It's a great song.

From: BPG Date: April 12, 2002 at 20:53
My corretion -1st cd is "Take the World By Storm"

From: BUCK Date: January 3, 2003 at 15:54
The Messin' With The Twins was actually done by Chainsaw Caine's solo project CHAINSAW.

From: Trick Taylor Date: January 11, 2003 at 3:43
Wow, arguing over Slave Raider trivia? Chainsaw Caine would probably appreciate $5 for lunch more. This effort is nicely produced but really highlights Slave Raider's shortcomings, namely stupid songs. If you want the real SR experience then find their 1st cd. It's a perfect local market band rock cd. Nothing amazing, but fun and catchy as hell.

From: mutha trucka Date: January 19, 2003 at 16:08
stupid songs? youngblood is my theme song, the song i live by. what man wouldnt love to get his hands on a sexy li'l high school girl and manipulate her for his own fantasies? of course the rest of the songs on the album may be stupid, i havent heard any others. i just happed to have the y b music vid on tape. neve heard anything else by them.

I remember when this one came out and I wondered if it was gonna be good cuz a friend of mine liked "Take The World" which is good in my opinion too. Well, I got this one and wasn't crazy about and didn't pull it out until I found their indie release of "Bigger, Badder, Bolder" a few years later cuz I liked that one, and after I gave this one the fair shot it needed I grew to like it even than "Bigger". Good release here, if you like one track you'll like them all, consistent in that way...

I used to go see Slave raider all around the St. Cloud (MN) area when they first came about. They were awesome! No kidding. When they played other bands covertunes they were the best band around. Can't say I ever cared for their own music much, quit following them when they came out with their first album...thought it sucked compared to their abiblity to player good songs. They are talented, just needed someone too make them good music of their own. Mike

I used to watch them play at the New Munich ballroom to a packed crowd everytime. This band is awesome, and by far one of my all time favorites. I have "Take the world by Storm" and "What do you know about RNR". Leticia is in a band called "Rare Divine"....she rocks!

I play SR Youngblood on my internet radio station and get positive responses from it. However my mother has a rather extensive 80's video collection on VCR and when she passed on I inherited this collection and found the video for YB and really just saw these guys as a Twisted Sister rip-off. But I like the song, YB enough to have played it on the radio station. You can check it out at eagle97.n3.net

I just bought this on CD and forgot just how good it is. As I no longer play my cassettes this has languished at the bottom of a box for a while,so its nice to be reintroduced to an old friend & remember just how much you liked it. Nothing is worse than hearing an album years later and thinking "WTF did I ever see in this album". This one is a stormer........nothing original, just good old fashioned fun rock!

From: Axe Attack Date: January 22, 2006 at 12:21
This is a good one. I play these guys from time to time on my weekly metal show, which can also be heard online.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 3, 2011 at 15:22
Better than their first but not as good as their third and last..."Is There Rock 'N Roll In Heaven?","Youngblood","Keep On Pushin'","Roller Coaster","What Do You Know About Rock 'N Roll?","Iron Bar Hotel" & "Lailbreak"(this one is a 100% Thin Lizzy influenced...is this an ode to the Lynnot band???..."Jailbreak"???... .... )...88/100
